Bicol Regional Science High School is gearing up for its annual 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 this 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟲𝘁𝗵 where students and teachers aim to enrich the school library with diverse books, covering various subjects and interests. Beyond increasing book numbers, the focus is on cultivating a love for reading and supporting academic success. The Book Drive invites the Brisayano community to contribute, envisioning the library as a vibrant hub of knowledge. This initiative creates a positive and exciting atmosphere for students and teachers, transforming the BRSHS Library into a beacon of inspiration. ⭐️📚

Here's how students can actively participate:

1. Students can generously contribute by donating new or gently-used books from their personal collections, sharing their favorite reads and educational materials with fellow students.
2. Students can craft simple bookmarks with positive messages to accompany donated books, adding a personal touch.
3. Students can write short reviews or recommendations for their favorite books and share them during the Book Drive.
4. Students can tell their friends and classmates about the Book Drive, encouraging them to participate.
5. Let's not forget to express gratitude—take a moment to thank teachers, organizers, and fellow students for their dedicated efforts in making the Book Drive a success. A simple gesture of thanks can truly make a difference.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢 | Teachers and representatives of the English Club and Hulmatrix were honored and recognized during the launch of the National Reading Month Celebration on November 7, 2023, at Bicol Regional Science High School. The event was spearheaded by the faculty of each club and their representatives, highlighting the value of reading as a vital tool for learning.

BRSHS Principal, Ma’am Cristina B. Relleve, relayed the importance of reading and joined the teachers in encouraging the Brisayano Community to enrich their reading skills, develop a genuine love for reading, and make it a habit for excellence.

The spotlight fell on English Club President, Soon Li N. Tay, for his commendable contribution to the program. He presented the life of the notable author, Don Mariano Perfecto, recognized as the father of Bikol and Bisayan Literature. Perfecto established the first printing press in the Bicol Region and published "An Parabareta," the region’s first local newspaper.
