The Sangguniang Bayan of Leyte successfully convened its 55th Regular Session under the leadership of Vice Mayor Hon. Arnold James M. Ysidoro serving as the Presiding Officer , reaffirming its steadfast commitment to transparent, responsive, and people centered governance.
During the session, the Council deliberated on significant legislative measures and pressing municipal concerns aimed at promoting sustainable development, strengthening local programs, and enhancing the delivery of essential public services.
Through meaningful discussions, collaborative decision making, and constructive dialogue, the members of the Sangguniang Bayan demonstrated their continued dedication to crafting responsive policies and sound legislative measures that address the needs and aspirations of the people of Leyte.

First Item
Resolution adopting the Manual of Operations of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), providing an institutionalized, comprehensive, and standardized framework for the delivery, management, and implementation of social welfare and development programs and services of the Municipality.
Second Item
For First Reading: An Ordinance institutionalizing the implementation of Republic Act No. 11310, otherwise known as the โPantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Act,โ in the Municipality of Leyte.
Third Item
For First Reading: An Ordinance institutionalizing the Unified Manual of Operations for all Government Child Development Centers (CDCs) and the National Child Development Center (NCDC) in the Municipality of Leyte.
Fourth Item
Resolution granting authority to the Local Chief Executive, Hon. Jed C. Granados, to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Northwestern Leyte District Hospital (NWLDH) for the availment of the facilityโs dental services.
Fifth Item
Resolution adopting the 2027 Gender and Development (GAD) Plan and Budget, in the total amount of PHP 21,596,000.00, as approved through Gender and Development Focal Point System (GAD FPS) Resolution No. 2026-01.
Sixth Item
For Second Reading: An Ordinance institutionalizing the Alternative Learning System (ALS) in the Municipality of Leyte, establishing Barangay Community Learning Centers (CLCs), defining the roles of the MLGU and barangays, and providing funding support therefor.
