π Field Visitation β May 20, 2026 π
The Bachelor of Science in Social Work students from Belen B. Francisco Foundation Inc. conducted their Field Visitation at the Albay Provincial Jail, gaining valuable exposure to the realities of correctional work and institutional service.
Under the guidance and supervision of Provincial Warden JCSUPT Felly Atienza-Cebuma (Ret.), together with PG3 Alree R. Francisco, Deputy Warden, PG3 Maria Teresa A. Marbella, Chief Administrative Officer, and PG1 Maria Loriene B. Jacob, Welfare and Development Officer, the students were given the opportunity to learn and discuss the nature of work, responsibilities, and challenges faced by jail personnel in carrying out their duties.
β¨ The visitation emphasized the importance of social work in correctional settings, highlighting rehabilitation, welfare, and development programs for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs). It also fostered awareness of the collaborative efforts between jail management and academic institutions in preparing future professionals for meaningful service to society.
