PRO 5 1ST WARRANT DAY OPERATIONS: 96 WANTED PERSONS ARRESTED IN 24 HOURS

LEGAZPI CITY | September 5, 2026 — The Police Regional Office 5 (PRO 5), under the leadership of PBGEN Randy Glenn G Silvio, Regional Director, arrested 96 wanted persons within 24 hours during the launch of the Warrant Day Operation conducted on September 4, 2026, in the Bicol Region.

The Warrant Day Operation is a best practice introduced by PBGEN Silvio to intensify the region’s campaign against wanted persons through synchronized warrant-of-arrest operations. Under the initiative, Warrant Day will be conducted every Friday, making the focused pursuit of individuals with standing warrants a regular regional police operation.

The initiative forms part of RD Silvio’s efforts to introduce sustainable operational practices that produce measurable results in the enforcement of warrants and the apprehension of wanted individuals.

Of the 96 arrested, 2 were Regional Most Wanted Persons (RMWPs), 4 were Provincial Most Wanted Persons (PMWPs), 19 were City/Municipal Most Wanted Persons (C/MWPs), and 71 were other wanted persons.

The accomplishment demonstrates the impact of a region-wide, coordinated approach in concentrating police efforts against wanted individuals and maximizing the operational capabilities of PRO 5 units.

Among those apprehended were two individuals listed among the Regional Most Wanted Persons.
RANK NO. 7 REGIONAL MOST WANTED PERSON — ALIAS “JON”

Alias “Jon,” ranked No. 7 on the Regional Most Wanted Persons list, was arrested in Capalonga, Camarines Norte, by operatives of the Camarines Norte Police Provincial Office.

He was apprehended by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest dated August 17, 2026, for two counts of R**e, with no bail recommended.

RANK NO. 8 REGIONAL MOST WANTED PERSON — ALIAS “NIEL”

Alias “Niel,” ranked No. 8 on the Regional Most Wanted Persons list, was arrested in Barangay Malinta, Masbate City, by operatives of the Masbate Police Provincial Office.
His arrest was effected by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest dated July 23, 2026, for R**e, with no bail recommended.

Also arrested was alias “Cardo” in Tabaco City, who had been evading arrest for more than 23 years. Alias “Cardo” is facing a charge of Frustrated Homicide. His apprehension was among the notable results of the first Warrant Day operation, highlighting PRO 5’s continuing efforts to locate long-elusive fugitives.

“Our accomplishments are a result of the dedication, commitment, and determination of our personnel on the ground. We will not allow wanted individuals to remain beyond the reach of the law. We shall sustain our efforts, strengthen our intelligence and operational capabilities, and continue to work with our communities to ensure that Bicol remains a safe and peaceful place for everyone,” PBGEN Silvio said.

With 96 wanted persons arrested in its first 24-hour implementation, the PRO 5 1st Warrant Day Operation sets the direction for a sustained, weekly campaign against wanted persons throughout the Bicol Region.
