Bicol Consortium for Health Research and Development Est. 2007

The Bicol Consortium for Health Research and Development was established in 2007 to address the need to establish a strong health research and development coordination system involving various institutions in Region V with interest in health research. Putting them together to work on consortium arrangement will promote complementation thereby increase synergy despite limited resources for Research

and Development undertakings. The primary objective of BCHRD is to institute/strengthen the system of collaboration in Region V to develop and enhance capacity of research institutions within the region which has interest and engage in health and related researches, as a strategy to improve the health conditions of the Bicolanos.

The Bicol Consortium for Health Research and Development (BCHRD) successfully convened the ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ง๐ ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐œ๐ก ๐‚๐จ๐จ๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐‚๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐œ๐ข๐ฅ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐‰๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐“๐ž๐œ๐ก๐ง๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐–๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐  ๐†๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ (๐“๐–๐†) ๐Œ๐ž๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ on ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’ ๐Œ๐š๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ” at the ๐ˆรฑ๐ข๐ ๐จ ๐‡๐จ๐ญ๐ž๐ฅ, ๐‹๐ž๐ ๐š๐ณ๐ฉ๐ข ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ.

The assembly was presided over by ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐จ ๐. ๐€๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ฒ๐š๐ง ๐‰๐ซ., ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐ƒ๐ข๐ซ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‚๐‡๐„๐ƒ ๐• ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐‚๐‡๐‘๐ƒ-๐‘๐‡๐‘๐‚๐‚ ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ข๐ซ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง, who brought together visionary institutions and agency heads from all consortium member institutions. The meeting served as a strategic platform to align the consortium's goals and plan the future direction of health research and development in the region.

Earlier in the day, the four (4) committees also convened for their 2nd Quarter Joint Committee Meetings, underscoring the shared commitment to streamlining regional health research operations and mapping out upcoming committee activities.

The meetings signify a coordinated and impactful regional health research ecosystem, dedicated to translating research outputs into actionable solutions and improved health outcomes for the Bicol community.
