📢𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐦 participated in a coordination meeting with representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Project Engineers, Materials Engineers, contractors, and other concerned stakeholders regarding the implementation of the Cabatacan East Barangay Road to Junction Logac - Lasam - Gagabutan Road Leading to the Cacao Plantation and Processing Area Project, which is scheduled for implementation this year.

Present during the meeting was 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐚 𝐓. 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐩, who expressed her full support for the project and reaffirmed the commitment of the local government to initiatives that strengthen infrastructure, improve accessibility, and support agricultural development within the municipality. The Vice Mayor emphasized the importance of continuous coordination among implementing agencies to ensure the timely and successful completion of the project.

Also representing the Local Government Unit of Lasam were Municipal Engineer Elmer B. Addun Jr. and Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Arch. Rodel Urian, who actively participated in the technical discussions.

The meeting focused on project implementation plans, technical specifications, construction schedules, and other key matters necessary to facilitate the efficient ex*****on of the road concreting project.

📢 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 of Lasam proudly celebrates another milestone in community empowerment as beneficiaries from Barangay Sicalao received livelihood assistance under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

With the continued support of 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀. 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐉𝐫. 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐚 𝐓. 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐩, an organization composed of approximately 20–25 residents of Barangay Sicalao was awarded a ₱400,000.00 livelihood grant for the establishment of a Water Refilling Station.

The grant was facilitated through the dedicated efforts of Project Development Officer II Danica Ugalde and Project Development Officer II Crisha Del Rosario.

🏛️ 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐦 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

The Legislative Department of LGU Lasam convened its 1st Regular Session today, June 1, 2026, at the 🏛️ Sangguniang Bayan Municipal Session Hall, presided over by Hon. Vice Mayor Dannah Paula T. Agatep, with the members of the Sangguniang Bayan in attendance.

During the session, the Sanggunian deliberated on several proposed ordinances, resolutions, committee reports, and legislative measures.

Among the matters approved by the body was the proposed Memorandum of Agreement between the Municipal Government of Lasam and the Cagayan Valley Regional Blood Center for the implementation of the National Voluntary Blood Services Program.

Likewise, a resolution requesting support for the provision of Nutri Buns for beneficiaries of the Municipal Nutrition Council and Reading Caravan Program was approved.

The Sanggunian also approved and escalated for Third Reading the proposed ordinance institutionalizing PROJECT DEKS (Digital Education, Knowledge, and Skills) in the Municipality of Lasam, Province of Cagayan, authored by Hon. Dannah Paula T. Agatep. The measure aims to promote digital literacy, educational support, cultural enrichment, and scientific innovation among the youth of Lasam.

Also approved and advanced for Third Reading was the proposed ordinance institutionalizing the Annual Natalged Rescuelympics of the Municipality of Lasam, an initiative designed to strengthen disaster preparedness, emergency response capabilities, and community resilience.

The Legislative Department remains steadfast in crafting policies and programs that promote sustainable development, effective governance, and improved public services for every Lasameño.

The Local Government Unit of Lasam formally conducted its First Monday Flag Raising Ceremony for the month of June today. This signifies the beginning of another month of dedicated public service, unity, and commitment to excellence.

The ceremony brought together municipal officials, department heads, and LGU personnel in a collective expression of patriotism and solidarity.

During the ceremony, various offices and departments presented significant updates and announcements concerning their recent activities, seminars, trainings, meetings, and ongoing programs. These reports served to strengthen communication, coordination, and collaboration among offices.

The Office of the Vice Mayor, through the initiative of Hon. Vice Mayor Dannah Paula T. Agatep, successfully conducted the 1st ever General Assembly of the Lasam Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (LATODA) at the Natalged A Lasam Arena, under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. Dante Dexter Agatep Jr. and with his full support to the programs and initiatives of the Legislative Department.

The program formally opened with welcome remarks from SB Member Reynaldo A. Viernes, Chairperson of the Committee on Transportation, followed by an inspirational message from Hon. Vice Mayor Dannah Paula T. Agatep.

📢 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐦 proudly welcomed the 250 qualified beneficiaries under the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) during their General Orientation held today - May 20, 2026 at Natalged A Lasam Park.

Vice Mayor Dannah Paula Agatep personally took time to meet and welcome the students as they officially began their 20-day employment program. In her message, the Vice Mayor encouraged the beneficiaries to value the opportunity entrusted to them, remain dedicated in their work, and continue striving for excellence in their studies and future aspirations.

This initiative was made possible through the continued support and commitment of Municipal Mayor Hon. Dante Dexter A. Agatep in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of LGU-Lasam and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), reflecting the municipality’s dedication to empowering the youth through employment and educational support programs. The orientation gathered all qualified SPES beneficiaries who successfully completed the required screening and documentation process.
