The Bureau of Fire Protection, through FCSUPT ANDREW A MENDOVA, DSC, Chief of the Directorial Staff, participated in the Safety and Security PREP (People & Real Estate Preparedness) Summit 2026, held on September 7, 2026 at Ballroom 1, Hilton Manila.

Under the leadership of our Regional Director, FCSUPT ROY RODERICK P AGUTO, DSC, our District Fire Marshal, FSSUPT ARLENE A BALAIS, DSC, served as one of the delegates in this significant event.

This momentous activity is an essential milestone in urban disaster risk management, wherein it unites real estate developers with vital public agencies to shift the focus from disaster awareness to real-world structural and community resilience. The summit establishes a critical link between property developers and key response agencies, which ensures that public safety and modern building regulations are actively integrated into commercial and residential real estate design.

The Bureau of Fire Protection – National Capital Region (BFP NCR), under the leadership of FCSUPT ROY RODERICK P AGUTO, DSC, Regional Director, held its Monday Holy Mass today at the BFP NCR Regional Headquarters.

BFP NCR personnel gathered in prayer and thanksgiving, entrusting the week ahead to the Lord and seeking His guidance, strength, and wisdom as they continue their commitment to public service and the mission of protecting lives and properties.

Under the leadership of our Regional Director, FCSUPT ROY RODERICK P AGUTO, DSC, and the steadfast guidance of our District Fire Marshal, FSSUPT ARLENE A BALAIS, DSC, the Officers and personnel of the District Headquarters conducted the Flag Ceremony held at the District Headquarters, Aquarius St., Brgy. Pamplona Dos, Las Piñas City.

FINSP JOSEPH N DAVID, the Sub-station Commander, La Paz Fire Sub-Station under Makati City Fire Station, was the Troop Information and Education Speaker today, and he shared about the importance of work and life balance. He reminded everyone that as we carry on with our duties and responsibilities, we must never forget our families. As we serve our people and communities, our families are the source of our strength and inspiration. With that in mind, We must also spend quality time with our loved ones. For a firefighter with its heart and mind at peace, service excellence follows.

For his inspiring message, he was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation.

A new week begins with a renewed commitment to duty and public service as the Bureau of Fire Protection National Capital Region (BFP NCR), under the leadership of 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗢𝗬 𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗣 𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗧𝗢, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, Regional Director, conducted its Traditional Flag Raising Ceremony.

The ceremony highlighted the values of patriotism, discipline, and unity, while providing an avenue for important announcements and reminders for the week ahead.
