On July 26, 2025, at about 01:00PM, PNP Personnel of Las Nieves Municipal Police Station led by PCpl Edralyn A Barrios, WCPD PNCO under the supervision of PCPT CHARLON M MONTERO, Officer In-Charge, conducted lecture regarding Anti-Rape and other forms of Sexual Abuse Tips at Brgy. Malicato, Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte in relation to Project A.W.A.R.E. (Advocating, Watchful, Awareness, Resilience and Education) for the security and safety of the community.

Personnel of Las Nieves MPS, PCpl Edralyn A Barrios, WCPD PNCO under the direct supervision of PCPT CHARLON M MONTERO, OIC, conducted lecture regarding Awareness on Safe Touch; RA No. 8353 (Anti-Rape Law of 1997); RA No. 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004); RA No. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act of 1992); RA No. 10627 (The Anti-Bullying Act of 2013) and other awareness program that fit for the beneficiaries/participants. Said activity was held at the multi-purpose hall of Sitio Subait, Brgy. Bonifacio, Las Nieves Agusan del Norte.

THREE courts in Nueva Vizcaya and Nueva Ecija convicted a man who was arrested by authorities in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in September 2024 for trafficking minors and selling child sexual abuse material on Telegram.

A concerned citizen reported Teddy Jay Mejia’s crimes through one of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) Facebook channels, leading to an investigation and his eventual arrest...
