On Enemy's Nest
"You're Fired!!!"
Maka walang poise Kong sigaw sa isang mahaderang babae sa harap ko. Pano kasi, nahuli ko siyang nambubully. Like haler? Is she a schoolgirl?
Like I care!
"B-but Miss, I was just scolding her for being-"
"So what? Are you the boss? I know what you're doing." I smiled mischievously.
Namutla naman ang gaga.
"You're trying to impress me, aren't you? Well, sad to say its not effective!"
She sighed in relief.
Bingo!
"Miss Aria, please give me a chance. Please po, may pamilya akong umaasa sakin."
Pagmamakaawa pa niya.
Seriously?
Like I care for these lies!
"Annabelle Nebeza right? Starting from now, I don't want to see you in my company."
Then I went straight to my office.
As I sat confidently at my swivel chair, my P.A came rushing.
"Miss Miss Miss!!"
"What's the matter? Ahmm..."
What's her name again? Kinda forgot.
"Miss, tinanggal niyo daw si Belle?"
Mangiyak ngiyak niyang tanong.
"Why do you care? Gusto mo ikaw din?"
"No Miss, its just that-"
"Are you questioning my decision? Who are you again?"
Natigilan naman siya.
"And who am I?"
"Sorry Miss."
Tila nahimasmasan naman siya.
"Get back to work. I'll need the documents at 10 am."
"But Miss-"
"Just do your job if you don't want to be the 10th to be fired today. "
"Okay miss"
Then she went out.
Pssh!
Then I spotted the folder on my table.
Name: Rodnick Santillan
Age: 25 years old
Blood type: AB+
Centro Escolar University
Summa Cum Laude
He took his Masteral at-
I stopped reading as I heard the door opened.
Only to be stiffened by the most dangerous gaze I've ever seen.
But I need to compose myself.
"Oh Mr. Santillan! What a surprise! What are you doing here in my haven? As I've told you yesterday, I'm NOT selling MY COMPANY."
I said calmly trying not to stutter.
"I'm not here for that. Mind if I sit down?"
His baritone voice makes me shiver.
Relax Ria!
Inhale!
Exhale.
"Okay. Sure. Sit down Mr Santillan. What can I do for you?"
He smiled lightly and there goes my heart. Thumping like crazy! Seriously Ria?
Let me remind you he's an enemy!
He sat down arrogantly as he continued to met my gaze mischievously.
I somehow manage to "observe" his visuals.
High cheek bone
Well define brows
Captivating eyes
Kissable lips
I wonder how those lips tasted like.
Eww! Did I really think about that?
"Done checking me out?"
That brought me back to my senses.
"Aherm Aherm. I'm not checking you out Mr. Santillan I just spaced out."
He laugh cutely.
"Did you just laugh at me? Huh?"
"Haha! Sorry you're just so adorable!"
That triggered me more.
"Do I have to remind you that we just met yesterday and we're not that close to compliment each other." I said formally.
"Sorry about that" He said smugly.
"So what brought my enemy to my nest?"
I too said smugly. Kala no ikaw lang marunong ah!
He suddenly looked so serious and looked straight at my eyes. Its so deep and so mesmerizing.
I'm still at awe at his gaze when he suddenly said.
"I here to take back my queen."
That made me puzzled.
"Your queen is not here Mr. Santillan. I don't know what games you're playing and I'm not interested." I said firmly.
"Me too. I don't know what games you're playing right now but I'll do everything to get you back my dear wife."
That made me stiffened.
Wife?
Who? Me?
I spaced out again that I've never noticed him leaning closer to me. Bolts of electricity brought me back as he suddenly held my hand and kissed it.
Literally and figuratively I stunned.
"I'll get you back. No matter what Mrs. Santillan"
Then he left the room.
