AFP Ranks Among Top Trusted Government Institutions in Latest TNM Survey

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) welcomes the results of the latest Tugon ng Masa (TNM) nationwide survey conducted by OCTA Research from March 19 to 25, 2026, which show that 72% of adult Filipinos trust the AFP, while 70% express satisfaction with its service performance.

The AFP noted that these results place the institution among the most trusted and best-performing government agencies in the country, reflecting sustained public confidence in its mandate and overall performance.

Conducted nationwide across the National Capital Region (NCR), Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, the survey shows that the AFP’s trust and performance ratings have remained steady over the past three quarters. Regionally, the highest trust (75%) and satisfaction (73%) ratings for the AFP are recorded in the Visayas.

The AFP expressed its appreciation to the Filipino people for their continued confidence and support, emphasizing that public trust serves as a vital motivation for its personnel to further strengthen professionalism, accountability, and excellence in service as it fulfills its constitutional mandate.

On May 13, 2026, the 206th Tactical Helicopter Squadron held its Change of Command Ceremony at Edwin Andrews Air Base, Zamboanga City, with BGEN GILBERTO T ESTEBAN JR PAF, Commander of the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing, serving as the Presiding Officer. During the ceremony, LTC EDWIN A MARCOS PAF formally relinquished command to MAJ KENDRICH A PIA PAF. The significant event was likewise attended by MGEN MOISES L MICOR PAF, Commander of the Air Mobility Command, highlighting the Wing’s continued commitment to leadership, service, and excellence.

On the same day, the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing marked another milestone as it conducted the blessing of its newly renovated facilities at Edwin Andrews Air Base, Zamboanga City. Among the facilities blessed were the 206th Tactical Helicopter Squadron (206THS) Tool Crib, 451st Supply Squadron (451SS) Warehouse, Wing Commander’s Quarter, and the Squadron Commander and Executive Officer’s Quarters, strengthening operational capability and support for mission readiness.

On 11 May 2026, the 205ᵗʰ Tactical Helicopter Wing reached another milestone with the official Blessing Ceremony of its new Storage Rooms at BGBNEAB, Lapu-Lapu City.

Led by Wing Commander BGEN GILBERTO T ESTEBAN JR PAF, the event was graced by MGEN MOISES L MICOR PAF, Commander of the Air Mobility Command, as the Guest of Honor. The ceremony was officiated by MAJ JESSIE B GECAIN CHS, Base Chaplain of BGBNEAB, ensuring our facilities are blessed as we continue to serve the nation.
