Headquarters Naval Forces Central, Philippine Navy (HNFC, PN), Naval Base Rafael Ramos (NBRR), Lapu-Lapu City – Naval Forces Central, Philippine Navy (NFC, PN) received a Plaque of Recognition during the 59th Founding Anniversary celebration of the 560th Air Base Group, PAF with MGEN ANTONIO Z FRANCISCO JR PAF, Commander, Installation Management Command (IMCOM), Philippine Air Force (PAF) as the Guest of Honor and Speaker (GOHAS) that was held at the Base Theatre, Brigadier General Benito N. Ebuen Air Base, Lapu-Lapu City on September 3, 2026.

COMMO JOSELITO E DE GUZMAN PN, Commander, Naval Forces Central, Philippine Navy (CNFC, PN), who was ably represented by CAPT WELMER C BASE PN (GSC), Deputy Commander, Naval Forces Central (DC, NFC) received the Plaque of Recognition, underscoring NFC, PN’s strong presence and unwavering support to the 560th Air Base Group, PAF.

Furthermore, the recognition underscored the longstanding partnership between NFC, PN and the 560th Air Base Group, PAF whose sustained support and close coordination have contributed to the effective accomplishment of the respective missions and shared security objectives in the Visayas. Over the years, the continued cooperation has strengthened operational coordination, mutual support and interoperability, enabling both units to respond more effectively to mission requirements and contribute to regional security and stability.

Headquarters Naval Forces Central, Philippine Navy (HNFC, PN), Naval Base Rafael Ramos (NBRR), Lapu-Lapu City – COMMO JOSELITO E DE GUZMAN PN, Commander, Naval Forces Central, Philippine Navy (CNFC, PN) paid Exit Calls to Ms. Melianita S. Quirante SA IV, Officer-in-Charge-Supervising Auditor of the Commission on Audit (COA) National Government Audit Sector (NGAS) 1 – 4; and Director Joel Q. Mamon, Regional Director, Office of Civil Defense Region VII and Chairperson, Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) VII on September 2, 2026.

Ms. Quirante SA IV warmly welcomed COMMO DE GUZMAN PN, CNFC, PN during the visit, demonstrating the continuing professional relationship between COA and NFC, PN. COMMO DE GUZMAN PN, CNFC, PN expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and acknowledged COA’s continued support and guidance in matters concerning the Command’s activities, and recognized COA’s contributions in promoting accountability, transparency and proper stewardship of government resources, which helped NFC, PN effectively carry out its programs and activities.

COMMO DE GUZMAN PN, CNFC, PN was likewise cordially welcomed by Director Mamon, OCD7 during his visit. The engagement served as an opportunity to express appreciation for the continued cooperation and support extended by OCD7 to the Command throughout his tenure, while reaffirming the importance of sustaining the strong partnership between NFC, PN and OCD7 in advancing disaster preparedness, response and risk reduction efforts in the Visayas.

Headquarters Naval Forces Central, Philippine Navy (HNFC, PN), Naval Base Rafael Ramos (NBRR), Lapu-Lapu City – With a heart full of gratitude, COMMODORE JOSELITO E DE GUZMAN PN, Commander, Naval Forces Central, Philippine Navy (CNFC, PN) paid Courtesy and Exit Calls to the Key Officials in the Cities of Cebu and Lapu-Lapu, and Province of Cebu on September 1, 2026.

COMMO DE GUZMAN, PN, CNFC, PN paid an Exit Call to Hon. Nestor Dionson Archival Sr., Mayor of Cebu City, where he personally expressed his appreciation for the support and cooperation extended by the Cebu City Government to NFC, PN. The engagement also highlighted the strong partnership between the Command and the City government in supporting maritime security and community-related activities in Cebu City.

He subsequently paid an Exit Call to Hon. Ma. Cynthia “Cindi” King Chan, Mayor of Lapu-Lapu City, where he conveyed his gratitude for the continued support and cooperation extended by the Lapu-Lapu City Government to NFC, PN. The partnership contributed to the effective implementation of the Command’s activities and initiatives in the City, particularly those supporting maritime security and the local community.

COMMO DE GUZMAN PN, CNFC, PN also paid an Exit Call to Hon. Pamela S. Baricuatro, Governor of Cebu, expressing his appreciation for the support extended by the Governor’s Office to NFC, PN throughout his tenure. The continued cooperation of the Cebu Provincial Government contributed to the successful implementation of the Command’s programs and activities in support to maritime security and the welfare of the communities in the province.

Headquarters Naval Forces Central, Philippine Navy (HNFC, PN), Naval Base Rafael Ramos (NBRR), Lapu-Lapu City - Naval Forces Central, Philippine Navy (NFC, PN) participated in the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month 2026 (MANA Mo 2026) Nationwide Simultaneous Blowing of Ships’ Horns, joining Philippine-flagged government and private vessels in sounding their horns for nine (9) long blasts that marked the opening of MANA Mo 2026 and highlighted the Philippine maritime and archipelagic identity on September 1, 2026.

MANA Mo is observed every September to promote awareness of the Philippines as a maritime and archipelagic nation and encourage government agencies, Local Government Units (LGU) and the private sector to undertake activities that raise awareness of maritime and archipelagic issues and concerns.

With its unwavering commitment, NFC, PN took part in the nationwide activity through its participating Navy vessels and personnel, supporting the coordinated sounding of ships’ horns. The participation demonstrated the Command’s support for the annual observance of MANA Mo 2026 and its objectives of promoting awareness of the country’s maritime and archipelagic concerns.

Headquarters Naval Forces Central, Philippine Navy (HNFC, PN), Naval Base Rafael Ramos (NBRR), Lapu-Lapu City – Naval Forces Central, Philippine Navy (NFC, PN) joined the City Government of Cebu in commemorating National Heroes Day through a Wreath-Laying Ceremony held at the Rizal Monument, Plaza Sugbo, Cebu City on August 31, 2026.

Joining the nation in honoring its heroes, COMMO JOSELITO E DE GUZMAN PN, Commander, Naval Forces Central, Philippine Navy (CNFC, PN) was ably represented by CDR ALVIN G ATON PN, Staff for Civil-Military Operations, OC7 during the wreath-laying ceremony. The participation of NFC, PN served as a solemn expression of the Command’s respect for the enduring legacy of those who devoted their lives for the safety of the Filipino people and for the freedom of our nation.

The commemorative activity brought together representatives from various government agencies, uniformed services, civic organizations and other partner-stakeholders to pay tribute to the courage, patriotism and selfless service of the country’s national heroes. The participation of NFC, PN underscores the Command’s continued support for meaningful civic activities that strengthen its partnership with the local government and the communities it serves.
