The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 7 under the esteemed leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐋 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐒 𝐉𝐑, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, with the Lapu-Lapu City Fire District headed by 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐋 𝐒 𝐀𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐀, District Fire Marshal, proudly launches the Biggest Loser Challenge—an initiative that champions “Fitness, Discipline, and Strength for Service.” This program motivates firefighters to embrace a healthier lifestyle, stronger body, and sharper mindset, fostering camaraderie and well-being. With the final weigh-in set this December and exciting prizes awaiting the winners, the challenge stands as a reminder that “A Fit Firefighter is a Better Firefighter!”

COORDINATION MEETING | 30 August 2025, Saturday

The Bureau of Fire Protection - Region 7 under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐋 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐒 𝐉𝐑, Regional Director, together with 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐋 𝐒 𝐀𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐀, Lapu-Lapu City District Fire Marshal in cooperation with Babag Fire Station headed by 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟏 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐉𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐀 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐚 attended the general assembly meeting for Babag Pyrotechnics Producer Coorperative and Kaabag Fireworks held at Brgy Babag sports complex, Purok Judas, Lapu-Lapu City.

The said meeting was led by the following barangay officials:

This was attended by the Babag Pyrotechnics Producer Cooperative headed by Mrs Cerila Avila and Kaabag Firecrackers Retailers led by Ms Luzviminda Ando and also License Manufacturer Mr. Mario Avila.

This is to remind our fellow Babaganons about the safety protocol now that BER months are fast approaching and the demand for fireworks purchase. Think safety first, follow all protocol and legal procedures in order to prevent accidents.

FIRE RESPONSE | 31 August 2025, Sunday

The Bureau of Fire Protection - Region 7 under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐋 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐒 𝐉𝐑, Regional Director, together with 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐋 𝐒 𝐀𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐀, Lapu-Lapu City District Fire Marshal in cooperation with Babag Fire Station headed by 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟏 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐉𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐀 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐚 responded to a reported structural fire at Toril, Brgy. Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City.

The report was received over the telephone, reported by a concerned citizen which prompted the Engine Company 8 - Shift B to immediately respond to the area.

Upon arrival, the fire was put out by the concerned neighbors in the area through a water-bucket relay initiative,which is why the fire didn't spread out to the other areas and enabled us to just conduct overhauling operations assisted by Lapu-Lapu City Rescue (LLCDRRMO). A 1-storey single family dwelling was affected with no reported injuries or casualties to both civilians and firefighters.

EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION FIRE SAFETY AWARENESS | 23 August 2025, Saturday

Earlier this morning, the Bureau of Fire Protection - Region 7 under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐋 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐒 𝐉𝐑, Regional Director, together with 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐋 𝐒 𝐀𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐀, Lapu-Lapu City District Fire Marshal in cooperation with Babag Fire Station headed by 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟏 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐉𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐀 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐚 conducted fire prevention seminar and evacuation drill at Marie Ernestine School, Barangay Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City.

The main objective of this activity is to minimize, if not fully prevent the occurrence of fire, how to engage in fire suppression and initiatw a safe evacuation procedure if the worst possible scenario hits their area.

Preparing the faculty, non-teaching personnel and student leaders to a pro-active approach when it comes to destructive fires. Thank you so much, maam/sir.
