Yesterday marked a beautiful step forward for our Green Project as we officially started planting in our mini greenhouse beside Mactan Barangay Hall!

Before getting our hands in the soil, we made sure everyone was guided and ready for their roles. A huge thank you to 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗣. 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮 𝗝𝗿. for graciously accepting our invitation and sharing his knowledge as our lecturer. Your insights truly inspired us to plant not just crops, but also responsibility for our environment.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined and supported this activity — Lunhaw Organization , Mactan Lynx GSP , Snr. San Roque Saac 2 CYCC , other Mactanganons, and of course our main partner, the Mactan Community Rover Scouting - Council of Chiefs . Thank you for believing in this collaboration and for working together to make this initiative possible. Your presence and efforts made the activity even more meaningful!

As we continue this journey, let this be a gentle reminder for all of us: even in a highly urbanized community, a small garden can make a big difference. Whether it’s a few pots of herbs, a backyard vegetable patch, or a simple plant by your window, every bit of green helps nurture our environment and our well-being.

A truly productive and meaningful Sunday morning with our community coming together.

Earlier today, we rolled up our sleeves for drainage declogging, native tree growing, and pot painting—small actions that lead to lasting change. Huge thanks to the Mactan Community Rover Scouting - Council of Chiefs , Lunhaw Organization , Snr. San Roque Saac 2 CYCC , and of course the father of Barangay Mactan, Efrenax Aying .

Let’s all help keep this effort going! Please avoid using the newly placed pots as trash bins. There’s a designated trash bin right beside them. And if you’re passing by with a little extra time and water, feel free to water the flowering native trees in the pots. One small act from you helps them grow—soon providing shade, beauty, and support for our local biodiversity.

This is our community, our responsibility, and our pride. Let’s continue taking care of it together!
