Back when Lapu-Lapu City hosted the International Week of the Deaf last year, September 21, 2016. We were surprised that the Mayor took time in posting this pic to the city's OFFICIAL FB PAGE! Truly, her support for us is remarkable.
Happy IWD to all the Deaf communities in the world!

I took a photo of this presentor in today's kick-off of International Week of the Deaf. Believe me they have difficulty in hearing but as what I've seen in their performance they were syncronized and organized. Malipayon kaayo ko nga ako usab nakita ang mga members sa DALC nga aktibo kaayo nga ni participate aning ilang event karon. In fact, this is the first time nga kita ang ni host sa International Week of the Deaf this year. With their theme, ato gayud mapamatud-an nga kini silang tanan, wala gayud natu pasagdi ug ato gayud sila gi-atiman especially kining taga Lapu-Lapu City. I am happy seeing you the positivity and good vibes despite of your difficulty. As what in your theme says, I am Equal. Yes,definitely you are one of us. To all the participants, welcome to Lapu-Lapu City. 😊
