TRADITIONAL MONDAY FLAG RAISING CEREMONY in observance of National Peace Consciousness Month 2026

At about 7:20AM - 7:45 AM of August 8, 2026, Police Station 1 personnel led by PLT. EFREN T FUENTES, Deputy Station Commander under direct supervision of PCPT VICENTE M CHAVEZ, Acting Station Commander PS1 LCPO, together with force multpliers conducted traditional monday flag raising ceremony reaffirming its commitment to patriotism, discipline, integrity, and dedicated public service held at Police Station 1 Ground, Brgy. Talima, Olango Island, Lapu-Lapu City.

Following the ceremony, PLT EFREN T FUENTES, Deputy Station Commander, delivered the Message of Support from the Chief, PNP in observance of National Peace Consciousness Month.
The message emphasized the PNP’s continued commitment to maintaining peace and order nationwide and supporting the administration’s Peace and Development Agenda through peace engagements, dialogues, and collaboration with community leaders and faith-based organizations.
The activity strengthened unity and solidarity among government personnel, renewing their shared commitment to serving the people with professionalism, integrity, and excellence.
LCPO remains steadfast in promoting a safe, peaceful, and progressive Lapu -Lapu City and Posting of NATIONAL PEACE CONSCIOUSNESS MONTH 2026 Tarpaulin with the THEME: Kapayapaan Pagtibayin Kaunlaran Paigtingin.

TOP 9 REGIONAL/TOP 7 PROVINCIAL MOST WANTED PERSON LED BEHIND BARS

Under intensified campaign against wanted persons, Police Station 5 of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office tightened its manhunt operations, which led to the arrest of a 41-year-old accused tagged as the Top 9 Regional/Top 7 Provincial Level Most Wanted Person.

On September 5, 2026, at around 6:30 PM, the tracker team of Police Station 5 successfully served the warrant of arrest against the accused for the violation of Statutory Acts of Lasciviousness in Brgy. Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City.

The warrant of arrest was issued and signed by Hon. Christine Muga-Abad, presiding Judge RTC 7th Judicial Region, Branch 70, Lapu-lapu City, with (P180,000.00)One hundred Eighty thousand pesos bail recommended for his temporary liberty.

PCOL AGOSTO DASKEO, City Director, commended the operating personnel of Police Station 5 for their dedication and commitment in controlling the proliferation of crimes in the city.

“We will continue to strengthen our efforts against wanted persons and ensure that the rule of law prevails. There is no place for fugitives in Lapu-Lapu City. We will find them, arrest them, and bring them before the law”, PCOL AGOSTO said.

CRIME PREVENTION THROUGH OPLAN BANDILLO

At round 2:30PM of September 6, 2026, PS1 personnel under the direct supervision of PCPT VICENTE M CHAVEZ, Acting Station Commander of PS1 Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, conducted Enhanced Police Visibility and Oplan Bandillo / Recorida and dialoque as part of the station’s anti-criminality efforts and awareness campaign against loose fi****ms ,scams falsely Using PNP officials prominent on personalities, awareness campaign against online scammers, extortion activities , NTF-ELCAC, Anti- illegal drugs efforts held within Olango Island, Lapu-Lapu City.
This activity aimed to raise public awareness on anti-criminality
measures and promote crime prevention, providing residents with essential safety, security reminders and sought to strengthen community partnership and enhance cooperation between the police and the public in maintaining peace and order within the area.

At about 10:00 PM onward of September 5, 2026, personnel under direct supervision of PCPT VICENTE M CHAVEZ, Acting Station Commander-PS1 LCPO, conducted inspection and monitoring of vandalism-prone areas, Oplan Bakal Sita and Implementation of Curfew for minors within area of responsibility of this station. This activity is in line with the PNP’s commitment of “Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at
Nararamdaman,” and aligned with the Safer Cities Initiative.

This operation aims to enforce curfew hours, particularly for minors and prevent disorderly behavior, often linked to crime commission. It's also part of broader efforts to reduce crime and ensure community safety.

At about 8:00AM-11:00AM of September 5, 2026, Police Station 1 personnel led by PEMS Alain Bandolon- Team Leader under direct supervision of PCPT VICENTE M CHAVEZ, Acting Station Commander, conducted an Anti-Criminality Checkpoint Operation. The operation aims to increase police visibility, ensure compliance with security measures, and promote public confidence in law enforcement held at Brgy Talima, Olango Island, Lapu-lapu City.

The activity aimed to maintain peace and order and enhance public safety through checkpoint operations by preventing and deterring criminal activities, intercepting lawless elements, and enforcing traffic and other pertinent laws.
