OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

In observance of Republic Act No. 11040
An Act Declaring April 27 of every year as "Lapu-Lapu Day" or Adlaw ni LapuLapu it is a special working public holiday throughout the country in the honor of the bravery and heroism of Datu LapuLapu.

And in the line with this, April 27 is likewise observed as a Special Non-Working Holiday in Lapu-Lapu City, Commemorating the Victory of Datu LapuLapu and his men at the Historic Battle of Mactan on 1521.

As we commemorate this significant day, We encourage everyone to join us at the Liberty Shrine in Brgy. Mactan on April 27, 7:30 AM to witness the Kadaugan Sa Mactan Reenactment and to reflect on the courage and legacy of our hero, whose leadership and valor continue to inspire unity and pride among Oponganons.

Cutting through red tape is not just policy—it is a promise.

The Human Resource and Development Office, headed by Atty. Mario Calvo, successfully conducted a two-day orientation seminar on Republic Act No. 11032 (ARTA) and its related issuances, in collaboration with the Anti-Red Tape Authority – Eastern Visayas Regional Field Office.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our distinguished resource speakers—Atty. Jesus Ray G. Quilantang Jr., Ms. Clarissa Mata, and Ms. Andrianne Faye Satorre for guiding us toward more efficient, transparent, and citizen-centered service delivery.
