REJECTED BUT REDIRECTED‼️

Call center agent John Michael Bundalian Amio ranked Top 1 in the February 2025 Criminologist Licensure Examination, earning a 92.20% rating—the highest among 22,245 passers nationwide.

What makes his win even more inspiring: John Michael pushed through as a working student, taking on call center night shifts while finishing his degree. He also faced setbacks—he initially pursued the uniformed service path (PMA/PNPA) but didn’t make it—so he refocused, completed his BS Criminology at Holy Angel University, and chased his new goal with everything he had.

Lesson: Your delays, rejections, and exhausting days don’t define you—your persistence does.

Kilala niyo ba kung sino ang tunay na "Sharpshooter" ng Manila?

Si SPO4 Jaime "Jimmy" Santiago ay hindi lang basta character sa pelikula—siya ay isang living legend ng Manila's Finest. Nagsimula siya bilang patrolman sa Western Police District (WPD) noong 1979 at naging miyembro ng elite SWAT team. Dito siya nakilala sa kanyang incredible marksmanship, kaya binansagan siyang "Sharpshooter."

Pero hindi lang sa barilan magaling si Sir Jimmy. While serving as a police officer, pinagsabay niya ang pagiging alagad ng batas at ang pag-aaral ng Law. Imagine, galing sa duty sa umaga, diretso sa law school sa gabi! Noong 1993, nakatapos siya ng Law at pumasa sa Bar Exams noong 1994 habang active duty pa rin.

Noong 1996, isinapelikula ang buhay niya sa hit movie na "SPO4 Santiago: Sharpshooter" na pinagbidahan ni Sen. Ramon "B**g" Revilla Jr. May iconic trivia rito: Noong premiere night mismo ng pelikula, kinailangang umalis ni Santiago sa sinehan dahil may ongoing hostage crisis sa Tondo. Naka-barong pa siya nang sumugod sa scene, pumwesto, at "one shot, one kill" na na-neutralize ang hostage-taker para iligtas ang biktima. Real-life action talaga!

After his police career, nag-early retirement siya noong 2001 para mag-full time lawyer. From being a cop, umakyat siya bilang Prosecutor, naging Presiding Judge ng Manila RTC, at eventually ay na-appoint bilang NBI Director noong 2024.

Ang kwento ni Judge Jimmy ay proof na "Education is the best equalizer." Mula sa pagiging PO1, ginamit niya ang edukasyon at tapang para marating ang tuktok ng hustisya.

Pag nag-mahal ka ng pulis o sundalo dapat malakas ang loob mo at mahaba ang pasensya. Sana maintindihan mo kung anong trabaho ang pinasok nya. Sana bago mo sya minahal tanggap mo kung anong uri ang magiging buhay nya.
Kung saan sa pag-lilingkod
lang sa bayan iikot ang mundo nya.
Dapat malakas ang loob
mo at may tiwala ka sa kanya.
Sana matiis mo syang hintayin.
Sana hindi ka mag-sawa na sya’y intindihin.
Sana sa pag-balik nya ikaw pa din ang magiging pahinga. At sana hindi mo hanapin sa iba ang mga pag-kukulang nya.
Sana ikaw pa din yung taong pinili nyang mahalin at makasama.

Mahigit 400 aspirants mula sa lahat ng antas ng pamumuhay ang nagsimula ng kanilang 45-araw na Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) sa punong-tanggapan ng National Capital Region Regional Community Defense Group (NCR-RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RCPA), Fort Bonifacio , Metro Manila noong Agosto 7, 2022.

Hinamon ni NCR-RCDG Commander Col. Ricky P. Bunayog, sa kanyang keynote speech, ang mga naghahangad na reservist na magsilbing “role model citizens” sa kani-kanilang komunidad at pamilya.

“After hurdling the BCMT, kayo ay magiging kasapi na ng Citizen Armed Force bilang reservists,” Col. Bunayog told members of the BCMT Batch 02-2022 which is composed of 321 males and 104 females. The new batch of aspiring reservists come from various professional and academic backgrounds—some are licensed professionals, artists, private sector employees, and college students who opted to undergo reservist training since their schools do not offer a Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) program.
