Pajo National High School(Official)

It was founded last June 1970 with complete secondary course through the cooperation of Pajo Community and efforts of Mrs. Florentina Villamor (nee Taghoy) who did the processing of the papers just to have Pajo Barangay High School exists. At the beginning, Pajo Barangay High School was located at Mactan Air Base with ten teachers, namely: Mrs. Charlon; Mrs. Florentina Villamor(nee Taghoy); lat

e Mrs. Ester Jumao-as; Mrs. Arlinda del Napoles; Mrs. Ellora Dampor (nee Abella); Ms. LuzmindaYbañez; Ms. Portia Sanchez; Ms. Dima Gahinhin; Mr. Rodolfo Togeno and certain Mr.Cabigon and they were headed by Mrs. Elena Degollacion with Mr. Primitivo Togeno as school collector since there was a meager tuition fee before. Then it is being transferred to Pajo Butterfly Hotel. From then on, it was transferred to Pajo Seaside and lastly to Sangi which is the present site, last school year 1979-1980. In this school year 1979-1980, the students’ population increased. Thus, there were seventeen teachers, twelve classes with three classrooms. Some classes were held outside. One of these rooms was partitioned for Principal’s Office. In 1989, Pajo Barangay High School was changed to Pajo National High School. In 1990, Pajo National High School acquired additional lot through the help of the PTCA officials. Moreover, it started to extend its school buildings due to the yearly increase of enrolment. Recently, Pajo National High School has one thousand, seven hundred seventy-one enrollees with forty-four teachers and a School Principal and Assistant Principal with thirty-two classes.
