SUSPENDED ANG KLASI UGMANG ADLAWA
As a precautionary measure, classes are suspended tomorrow, Thursday, February 5, in all levels of public schools, while private schools may suspend classes at the discretion of their school management, to ensure the safety of our students. Kaganihang hapon, I convened the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council for a Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) together with City DRRMO Head Nagiel Bañacia, Mr. Andy Berame and PAGASA Visayas, represented by Engr. Jhomer Eclarino, who provided a comprehensive briefing on Tropical Depression Basyang, including the latest weather advisory and forecast track.
We discussed preparedness measures to address the possible effects of TD Basyang, with PAGASA reporting continuous updates to ensure timely and accurate information. I extend my sincere thanks to our Vice Mayor Celsi Sitoy, City Councilors, Barangay Captains, Department Heads, DepEd LLC represented by ASDS Dr. Ronald Ferrer, LLCPO led by PCOL Augusto Daskeo, Coast Guard, Red Cross, Pagtambayayong Foundation, BJMP Lapu-Lapu, and all partner agencies for their continued commitment to public safety. Amping ug ampo tang tanan!
