Strengthening Unity: Successful MOA Signing between the Air Mobility Command, PAF, and DYAR 765 Khz Sonshine Radio Cebu

In a groundbreaking move towards promoting the goals of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), the Skylifters in the Visayas and Sonshine Radio Cebu recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This momentous event marks a significant step in fostering collaboration and utilizing the power of media to combat insurgency effectively. The MOA ensures that the military is granted free airtime on their various media platforms, enabling them to reach a broader audience and disseminate crucial information.

In his remarks, the Commander, AMC MGEN JOANNIS LEONARDI B DIMAANO PAF recognized the contribution of media and addressing the country's insurgency problem. The Whole of Nation approach acknowledges that ending insurgency requires a comprehensive, multi-faceted response. By mobilizing all sectors of society, addressing governance issues, promoting socio-economic development, ensuring effective communication, and implementing preventive measures, the approach aims to dismantle the root causes of insurgency and build resilience within communities. Through this united effort, it is possible to achieve long-term peace, stability, and prosperity for the nation.

While MR. JIMREY D. BIOSA, the station manager of DYAR Sonshine Radio Cebu, remarked that they are one with AFP in nation-building and rendered any support they could through information campaigns, and digital technology to disseminate accurate and timely information. It empowers communities with the knowledge to resist the influence of insurgency.

This partnership fosters transparency, trust, and a shared commitment to the nation's welfare. Likewise, it fosters an atmosphere of responsiveness and cooperation. Lastly, the successful MOA signing demonstrates the power of collaboration and the media's critical role in fostering national security. This key step will pave the way for a more informed and united society, working together to secure the nation's peaceful and prosperous future.
