🛠️ Training Conducted | Engineering for Non-Engineers 🏗️

Earlier today, we successfully held the "Training on Engineering for Non-Engineers: Strengthening Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC)", attended by LPMC Members of LGU Lapinig.

This activity aimed to build the technical capacity of our LPMC members by providing them with essential engineering knowledge to effectively monitor and evaluate local infrastructure projects.

🙏 We extend our heartfelt thanks to the DILG Northern Samar Provincial Office - Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) for serving as our esteemed resource speakers and for sharing their expertise and insights during the session and to LGU Lapinig LPMC members for their active participation.

📣 PCVE Program Update | Zoom Orientation Conducted 🛡️💻

On May 20, 2025, we successfully conducted a Zoom orientation on Early Warning, Prevention, and Response to the Risk of Violent Extremist Groups as part of our Prevention and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) Program.

We were honored to have the active participation of representatives from Barangay Can Maria and Barangay Pio Del Pilar. This initiative aimed to strengthen local capacities in identifying early signs of radicalization and to enhance community-based strategies in addressing potential threats.

Together, we are building resilient and informed communities that can stand strong against violent extremism. 💪🏽🕊️

📍 SGLGB Pre-Assessment Conducted in Four Barangays! 🏅🏳️‍🌈

The SGLGB Team of LGU Lapinig has successfully conducted the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB) Pre-Assessment on April 29-30, 2025, in the barangays of Can Omanio, Imelda, Potong Del Norte, and Lapinig Del Norte.

This activity aims to evaluate the readiness and compliance of barangays with the SGLGB indicators—focusing on governance areas on financial administration, disaster preparedness, safety, peace and order, social protection, business friendliness, and environmental protection.

👏 We extend our appreciation to the barangay officials for accepting the challenge of SGLGB and their active participation and support during the assessment.

Together, let us continue to uphold excellence in local governance and strive for more responsive, accountable, and inclusive barangays!

We are proud to announce the successful completion of the last batch of LTIA Implementation in the remaining barangays of Alangalang, Potong Del Norte, Potong Del Sur, Mabini, and May Igot last March 25-26, 2025.

This marks a significant milestone in our efforts to strengthen local governance and promote peace and order in our communities.

📢 LTIA Implementation Continues in Lapinig! 💪✨

The Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) assessment and validation continued last week, covering six barangays—Look, Cahagwayan, Bagacay, Palanas, Lapinig Del Norte, and Lapinig Del Sur— from March 18-21, 2025. ✅

The LTIA team, led by MLGOO of DILG Lapinig as the chair of LTIA MAC, along with SB Committee Chair on Peace and Order, MCTC Gamay Clerk of Court, Chief of Police - Lapinig MPS, LNB President, and a CSO Representative, worked tirelessly to ensure an effective assessment process.

👏 So far, 10 barangays down, 5 more to go this week! Let’s keep striving for excellence in our local peace and order initiatives! 🚀

On March 5, 2025, the DILG NSPO-PDMU, in coordination with DILG Lapinig and the LGU Lapinig Municipal Engineering Office, conducted an inspection of SBDP projects in the following barangays:

The Municipal Awards Committee (MAC) convened for the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) Strategic Meeting on February 19, 2025. The meeting gathered LTIA MAC members to discuss key strategies for evaluating and recognizing outstanding Lupons that exemplify excellence in barangay justice and conflict resolution.

The session focused on refining assessment processes, ensuring compliance with LTIA criteria, and strengthening support for barangay justice efforts. Through this initiative, LGU Lapinig reaffirms its commitment to promoting peace, order, and efficient dispute resolution at the grassroots level.

The LGU Lapinig successfully conducted its Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Pre-Assessment on February 17, 2025, with the participation of DILG Northern Samar Provincial Office (NSPO) assessors and the LGU Lapinig SGLG Team.

This pre-assessment served as a vital step in ensuring that the LGU meets the standards of transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery as required by the SGLG criteria. The session provided an opportunity to review compliance with key governance areas, identify areas for improvement, and strengthen LGU initiatives in preparation for the official assessment.

With a strong commitment to excellence in local governance, LGU Lapinig is once again aiming to secure the prestigious SGLG award this year. 🔹 Providing Technical Support for the Joint Meeting of Local Special Bodies in Lapinig 🔹

The Local Government Unit of Lapinig successfully conducted the Joint Meeting of the Municipal Development Council (MDC), Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), and other Local Special Bodies on January 31, 2025.

This meeting served as a platform for key stakeholders to discuss development priorities, peace and order concerns, anti-drug initiatives, disaster preparedness strategies, and other essential governance matters. The collaboration among council members ensures a more coordinated and effective approach in addressing community needs.

During the meeting, DILG Lapinig provided technical assistance by guiding the councils on policy compliance, proper documentation, and alignment of programs with national directives. Their expertise ensured that discussions on development priorities, peace and order concerns, anti-drug initiatives, and disaster preparedness were anchored on the latest government guidelines and SGLG indicators.

📢 Earlier today! Strategic Meeting with Barangay Secretaries and Treasurers Held in Lapinig, Northern Samar

The activity with Barangay Secretaries and Treasurers was conducted to enhance the efficiency and accountability of barangay reporting. The primary focus was to discuss the integration of Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB) requirements into the Monthly Accomplishment Report Form. This initiative aims to ensure that barangay reports reflect compliance with governance standards of SGLGB in the barangay administration.

The MLGOO led the discussion on the importance of SGLGB compliance and its impact on barangay performance and governance integrity.
