𝐋𝐎OK || DISABILITY-SENSITIVITY AND ORIENTATION ON DISABILITY CONCEPTS, LAWS, AND POLICIES

Under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Charlene L. Ongchuan, the LGU of Laoang, through the MSWDO, continues to promote inclusive and responsive governance.

The MSWDO is currently conducting a Disability-Sensitivity and Orientation on Disability Concepts, Laws, and Policies for our Child Development Teachers and Workers.

The goal of this activity is to deepen understanding, break barriers, and ensure that our early childhood programs are accessible, respectful, and inclusive for all children, including persons with disabilities.

This initiative is made possible in partnership with NORFIL Foundation, a valued NGO partner of LGU Laoang in advancing programs and policies for the welfare of persons with disabilities.

Together, we build a Laoang where no one is left behind. 💚

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 || PYAP LAOANG JOINS THE PROVINCIAL PYAP LEARNING CAMP 2026

With the full support of Hon. Mayor Charlene L. Ongchuan and the LGU of Laoang, members of PYAP Laoang proudly represented our municipality in the Provincial PYAP Learning Camp 2026 held on July 10–13, 2026 in Lavezares, Northern Samar, in celebration of the 52nd Founding Anniversary of PYAP.

Under the theme “Sustaining the Flame: Institutionalizing Empowered Leadership, Strengthening Governance, and Advancing Development Pathways for a Future-Ready PYAP!”, our Laoangnon youth delegates took part in leadership workshops, team-building activities, and cultural presentations. The experience helped strengthen their skills, teamwork, and commitment to serve as active youth leaders in our community.

PYAP Laoang’s participation reflects the LGU’s commitment to empowering and developing future-ready youth leaders who will help advance good governance and community progress 💚

📢 4Ps SET 14 D & E REGISTRATION | July 13, 2026

Today, 432 potential beneficiaries from Set 14 D & E took a significant step forward as they registered for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps.

At the heart of 4Ps is a single, powerful mission: to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty by investing in human capital. Through conditional cash grants anchored on health, nutrition, and education, the program empowers poor families to raise healthy children, keep them in school, and open doors to a better, more secure future.

4Ps is more than assistance — it is hope, opportunity, and dignity in action.

KALINGA : PWD EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE 🎓♿

The LGU Laoang, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Charlene L. Ongchuan, through the MSWDO-PDAO, will grant KALINGA Educational Assistance to 60 indigent Persons with Disability [PWD] learners for School Year 2026-2027 under the KARUNGAN Program.

💰 BENEFIT:
₱3,000.00 Cash Assistance per qualified PWD learner
👥 COVERAGE: All Grade Levels | Kinder to College/Vocational

WHO CAN APPLY? ✅
1. Registered PWD with a valid PWD ID
2. Belongs to an indigent family
3. Resident of Laoang, Northern Samar
4. Enrolled for SY 2026-2027

REQUIREMENTS TO SUBMIT: 📄
1. Certificate of Enrollment, SY 2026-2027
2. Photocopy of Valid PWD ID
3. Certificate of Residency from your Barangay
4. Certificate of Indigency / Case Study from MSWDO
