The Liga ng mga Barangay Ilocos Norte Chapter headed by the Hon. Ryan John A. Pascua conducted the Emergency Meeting held at Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session hall today. Attendees of the said meeting are the ABC Presidents of the different towns and cities of province. They tackled the programs, projects and plans for the upcoming liga ng barangay activities.[A]

The Liga ng mga Barangay - Ilocos Norte held their Christmas Year-End Celebration and Gift Giving for the Indigent Families of Brgy. Gabut Norte, Badoc Ilocos Norte.

Hon. Ryan John A. Pascua, who headed the event, thanked all the ABC Presidents, sponsors and visitors who attended the celebration. He urged everyone to continue spreading kindness and love during the holiday season.

After the Regular Session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, LNB Ilocos Norte President Hon. Ryan John A. Pascua and his staff paid their respects at the wake of the late Punong Barangay Melecio Jim Tagala of Barangay 18 Abkir, Vintar. Punong Barangay Tagala passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 49.

A dedicated leader, Tagala served as Punong Barangay for over six years and was an esteemed member of the LNB, actively contributing to its programs and initiatives. Hon. Pascua’s visit underscored the deep sense of unity among Ilocos Norte’s barangay officials and the importance of standing together to support one another in times of loss and grief.

The Liga ng mga Barangay Ilocos Norte Chapter, led by Provincial LNB President Hon. Ryan John A. Pascua, held the Provincial Liga Summit 2024 at Subic Bay, Olongapo,held last November 9-11, 2024 with the themed “Progression on the Seal of Local Governance for Barangays - Road to Excellent and Outstanding Service Delivery.” This summit gathered barangay officials across Ilocos Norte to tackle pressing community issues, foster collaboration, and explore innovative governance.

Hon. Ryanjohn Pascua and the entire LNB ILOCOS NORTE CHAPTER, members and its staff would like to thanked Governor Matthew J. Marcos Manotoc, Vice Governor Hon. Cecilia Aranete Marcos, Congressman 1st District Hon. Ferdinand Alexander Marcos, Congressman 2nd District Hon. Angelo Marcos Barba, Lnb National President Hon. Jessieca Dy, Abc President of Piddig Hon. Lendell Chua, Board Member Hon. Medeldroaf Gaoat, and Board Member Hon. Saul Lazo for their unwavering support in the success of the Provincial Liga Summit 2024. The event proved to be a productive platform for strengthening barangay governance and promoting sustainable development in Ilocos Norte.

The Liga ng mga Barangay Ilocos Norte Chapter, led by Hon. Ryan John A. Pascua, conducted a tree planting activity in partnership with the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office. The activity was held at Avis Falls, Brgy. Tanap Burgos, Ilocos Norte, and was attended by members of the liga, its staff, Penro, barangay officials, and BRO.

As Lucy Larcom once said, "He who plants a tree, plants a hope." This event is a testament to our commitment to preserving our environment and ensuring a better future for the generations.

Despite the adverse weather conditions facing the province today, Hon. Ryanjohn Pascua attended the special session at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall to discuss Provincial Resolution No. 2024-10-347. Through the Provincial Resolution declares the province of Ilocos Norte to be under a state of calamity due to Typhoon Julian.

As of today, Ilocos Norte is experiencing significant damage to infrastructure, agriculture, and livelihoods. The typhoon has caused severe flooding and landslides, resulting in the displacement of thousands of families. The provincial government is taking necessary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of its constituents during this difficult time.
