The City Government of Laoag, through the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), is now opening the Laoag City College Scholarship for Academic Year 2025-2026!

This program aims to support Laoagueño students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership skills, good moral character, and a strong commitment to serve the community. Each scholar shall receive a total of ₱15,000.00 worth of financial assistance for the whole academic year.

🗓 Submission period is from October 23-30, 2025. Kindly note that late registrations shall not be entertained.

Applicants may submit their documents at the Local Youth Development Office, Laoag City Hall.

The Laoag City Youth Development Office and the SK Federation Laoag City are currently gathering data that focuses on assessing the demographic information of the Katipunan ng Kabataan.

This is to ensure that the database of both the LYDO and the SK are updated and the data gathered will serve as the foundation for a much more inclusive and data-driven approach on youth development activities and programs.

We are calling for the participation of our Laoageño Youth aging from 15 to 30 years old to kindly fill out the youth profiling form. Your participation will greatly contribute to the improvement of the LYDO and the SKs efforts for youth development.

Digital Poster Making Contest 2025

In celebration of Nutrition Month, we are calling all senior high school students, active members of the Sangguniang Kabataan and Katipunan ng Kabataan in Laoag City! The City Health Office of Laoag, in partnership with the SK Federation of Laoag City, invites you to join the Digital Poster Making Contest with the theme: “Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!” This contest aims to raise awareness on the importance of food and nutrition security through creative digital expression.

Contest Mechanics:
1. Open to senior high school students who are active SK or KK members in Laoag City
2. Use any digital design platform (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva)
3. Submit only one entry in JPEG or PNG format, minimum 300 DPI
4. Size: A4, portrait or landscape orientation
5. Must include a short title and may include brief slogans or captions
6. Include a time-lapse video of the creation process

Submit a soft copy to [email protected] with the following details:
a. Title of artwork
b. Full name of participant
c. Name of barangay or school
d. Contact information

Submit one printed copy (on photo paper) to the City Nutrition Office, 2nd floor, City Health Office
Deadline of Submission: July 15, 2025 at 4:00 PM
