LANTAPAN WATER DISTRICT ADVISORY :
Preparedness Reminder from the Lantapan Water District- Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Team.
Super Typhoon Uwan is approaching the country. While we continue to hope for minimal impact especially within our Locality, itβs important for everyone to prepare early when it comes to our water supply and safety.
For LWD Staff and Operations Teams:
πΉ Secure and safeguard all equipment, pumps, electrical panels, and service vehicles.
πΉ Check generator sets, fuel supply, and emergency tools for full readiness.
πΉ Coordinate closely with the DRRM Team for possible pre-emptive shutdowns or rapid response actions after the typhoon.
πΉ Repair and maintenance teams are instructed to be on standby and fully equipped for any major line breaks, leaks, or system damage that may occur during or after the storm.
For Our Valued Consumers:

Store enough clean and safe water for at least 2β3 days of household use as repairs may take longer than usual depending on the weather condition .

Make sure all containers are clean and tightly covered to avoid contamination.

Report leaks, pipe damage, or low pressure immediately to Lantapan Water District.
β
Conserve water before, during, and after the typhoon to help maintain supply for everyone.

β οΈ Important Reminder:
All our water sources are surface waters which can easily become turbid (lubog) during heavy rains.
If turbidity levels exceed the safe limit, an emergency line shut-off will be implemented.
Service will resume once water quality returns to safe standards and systems are cleared.
Our technical and repair teams are working round the clock to secure facilities, monitor conditions, and ensure quick response once Super Typhoon Uwan passes. π
