ATTENTION LAMUTENEANS || Here is the official line-up of activities for the upcoming Lamut Tourism Week Celebration this September 2026.
The Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) of Lamut has curated an exciting, diverse, and impactful week of events celebrating our heritage, skills, and community spirit. From cultural arts to environmental action and student competitions, there is something for everyone.
Save the dates and get ready for these 8 official activities:
1. Painting Demonstration: A creative showcase focusing on the rich culture of Ifugao. Free materials are provided by MLGU Lamut for the first 10 registrants at the Municipal Livelihood Center on September 26, 2026. Outputs will be displayed at the Lamut Tourism Office. Registration will be on or before September 18, 2026.
2. Indigenous Skills Training: A dedicated program to preserve, honor, and pass down our traditional Ifugao practices and masteries to the next generation.
3. Basic News Writing Training for MLGU Employees: A capacity-building seminar designed to sharpen the communication and public reporting skills of our local government workforce.
4. Gastronomic Competition: A culinary showdown featuring local flavors, traditional ingredients, and innovative dishes that celebrate Lamut's food heritage.
5. Clean-Up and Beautification Drive: An environmental action at the Lamut Eco-park with MLGU employees as participants.
6. Camping Test Pitch at the Lamut Eco-Park: An outdoor simulation and site assessment to prepare our beautiful Eco-Park for future ecotourism and camping enthusiasts.
7. Search for the Best Road Beautification: A friendly competition among the 18 barangays of Lamut to transform our roadsides into scenic, green, and vibrant pathways.
8. Tourism Skills Competition of BS Tourism Management Students: A high-energy showcase where our local hospitality and tourism students put their classroom knowledge to the test in real-world simulations.
