Breaking news; Lakewood, Zamboanga del Sur Edges Zamboanga City, Books Finals Berth with 1–0 Thriller !

In a tightly contested semifinal clash in the elementary football category, Zamboanga del Sur emerged victorious over Zamboanga City with a narrow 1–0 win, securing their place in the finals set for tomorrow.

The match unfolded as a defensive battle, with both sides displaying discipline and determination from kickoff. Zamboanga City pressed early, attempting to break through Zamboanga del Sur’s solid backline, but were repeatedly denied by well-organized defending and crucial saves.
The breakthrough came in the second half, when Zamboanga del Sur capitalized on a scoring opportunity that ultimately decided the match. The lone goal ignited celebrations from players and supporters alike, as it proved enough to carry the team through to the championship round.Despite the loss, Zamboanga City showed resilience and grit, pushing for an equalizer until the final whistle.
