STREET SIGNAGE INSTALLATION AND BEAUTIFICATION CONTEST
Theme:
โKomunidad na sararo, kagayunan asin kauswagan minataluboโ
The Street Signage Installation and Zone Beautification Contest aims to promote unity, environmental awareness, creativity, and community participation through the use of indigenous and recyclable materials while enhancing the beauty and cleanliness of each Purok/Sitio/Zone.

I. GENERAL GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS
1. Participation
โข Open to all Puroks/Sitios/Zones within the Barangay.
โข Each Zone must be represented by Zone assigned Kagawad and at least one SK Member.
2. Materials
โข Participants are strongly encouraged to use recyclable and indigenous materials such as:
o Plastic bottles
o Used tires
o Bamboo
o Coconut husks
o Vines
o Langkoy and other native materials
โข Lighting effects are allowed, preferably:
o Solar-powered lights
o LED or creative eco-friendly lighting for night illumination
3. Cleanliness
โข The assigned area, including roadsides, canals, and drainage systems, must be clean and free from garbage before and during the contest.
4. Signage Requirement
โข Each participating Zone must install a visible and creative street signage at the entrance of their Purok/Sitio/Zone.
5. Timeline
โข All beautification projects must be completed on or before:
May 18, 2026 (6:00 PM)
โข Online voting will start on:
May 19, 2026 | 6:00 AM โ 6:00 PM
6. Safety
โข The use of hazardous, flammable, or dangerous materials is strictly prohibited.

II. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
Criteria Percentage
Cleanliness and Orderliness (clean streets, maintained canals, and proper waste management) 30%
Creativity, Craftsmanship, and Design (originality, attractive design, and overall aesthetic appeal) 30%
Use of Materials (effective use of recycled and indigenous materials) 20%
Community Participation (documented teamwork and cooperation among residents) 10%
Signage and Greening (visibility of signage and maintenance of plants/ornamentals) 10%

III. BEAUTIFICATION TECHNIQUES
โข Landscaping around the street signage area must be properly arranged using:
o Ornamental plants
o Flowering plants
o Native plants and greenery
โข Cultural elements must be incorporated using locally available materials that reflect the identity and culture of the community.

IV. PROHIBITED ACTS
The following are strictly prohibited:
โข Use of expensive or luxurious materials that may limit accessibility and fairness
โข Painting on trees
โข Any activity that may cause environmental damage
