The Municipal Local Government Unit of Lagawe (MLGU Lagawe) is implementing strict quarantine, inspection and biosecurity measures on the entry and movement of live hogs, pork, frozen meat and other swine products within the municipality.

🌱 MLGU Lagawe Celebrates Nutrition Month 2026! 🍎🌳

The Municipal Local Government Unit of Lagawe joined the celebration of Nutrition Month with the theme, “Nutrition at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan.”

Our guest speaker, Sir Arnel Bilibli, OIC-PENRO Ifugao, emphasized the vital connection between a healthy environment and a healthy community. He highlighted the importance of protecting our forests and, most especially, preserving and planting trees as our shared responsibility for the generations to come. 🌳💚

Mayor Leslie Roy H. Nayahangan echoed the message of Sir Bilibli, encouraging everyone to take an active role in protecting our environment while making healthy and nutritious food choices for our families.

This dog was caught by the LGU in the Plaza area of Lagawe and is currently under proper custody for safekeeping.

🐕 If you are the owner or know the owner of this dog, please coordinate with the Municipal Government of Lagawe for its proper claim.

📌 Claiming shall be subject to the applicable Municipal Ordinance and required procedures.
Owners are reminded to ensure that their pets are properly secured and supervised to prevent them from roaming in public places.

📢 LGU LAGAWE ADVISORY

SUSPENSION OF CLASSES AND WORK IN GOVERNMENT OFFICES
August 6, 2026

In accordance with Office of the President Memorandum Circular No. 122, issued on 05 August 2026, classes at all levels and work in government offices in the Municipality of Lagawe, Ifugao, are hereby suspended today, August 6, 2026, due to the continued heavy rainfall brought about by Tropical Storm Maymay and the Southwest Monsoon.

The suspension covers all government offices, except agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other essential services, which shall continue their operations to ensure the safety and welfare of the public.

Private companies and offices may implement work suspension at the discretion of their respective management.

The Local Government Unit of Lagawe advises everyone to remain vigilant, avoid unnecessary travel, monitor official weather updates, and prioritize safety at all times.
