A joint monitoring activity by DTI Ifugao, LGU Lagawe offices, and PNP was conducted to check compliance of fuel and LPG prices within the municipality.

Based on the inspection, the price range (lowest to ceiling) observed is as follows:

* Diesel: ₱93 – ₱104.90
* Premium Gasoline: ₱82 – ₱90
* Unleaded Gasoline: ₱81 – ₱82
* Regular Gasoline: ₱83
* Kerosene: ₱95
* LPG: ₱1250 – ₱1,550

Some fuel products were noted as temporarily out of stock in select stations. Overall, establishments are operating within acceptable price ranges.

Authorities will continue regular monitoring to ensure fair pricing, stable supply, and consumer protection.

KULPI AD LAGAWE CULTURAL PARADE DRAWS 20 BARANGAYS, MARKS FESTIVAL OPENING

The vibrant spirit of culture and unity came alive today as the Kulpi ad Lagawe Cultural Parade successfully took place, bringing together participants from 20 barangays in a colorful showcase of tradition, heritage, and community pride.

The event officially opened with a program highlighted by the presence of Atty. Jennilyn M. Dawayan, CESO III, Regional Executive Director of the Department of Agriculture CAR, who served as the guest speaker.

A symbolic highlight of the celebration was the performance of the “Hiit di Baya,” marking the major start of the festival. The tossing was led by Hon. Leslie Roy H. Nayahangan, Municipal Mayor of Lagawe, together with the guest of honor, signifying unity, prosperity, and the strong cultural roots of the municipality.

Following the ceremony, the Ribbon Cutting of the Agro-Booths Fair was conducted by the mayor and distinguished guests. The agro-fair features local products, agricultural innovations, and showcases the richness of Lagawe’s farming communities.

The successful conduct of the parade and opening activities sets the tone for the rest of the Kulpi ad Lagawe festivities, celebrating not only culture but also the strength and collaboration of its people.

The Municipal Government of Lagawe reminds all motorcycle drivers and back riders to strictly comply with the “No Helmet, No Travel” policy.

Wearing a STANDARD (with ICC sticker) protective helmet is MANDATORY at all times while traveling within the Municipality of Lagawe. This measure is enforced to ensure the safety and protection of every rider on our roads.

⚠️ Violators will be apprehended and penalized accordingly.

Let us all do our part in promoting road safety:

Following the decision by the Kulpi Executive Committee as supported by the barangay captains and events coordinators, the Kulpi ad Lagawe 2026 cancels some of the activities mainly those under the open category as a response to observe austerity measures at this time of energy crisis.

With heavy heart, the Execom wishes to inform the public that the Kulpi celebration will now be three days down from five days, and the prospect participants to the following activities that such would not already be included in the roster of events for Kulpi ad Lagawe 2026:

▪️Kulpi Battle of the Band
▪️Kulpi Choral Competition

Also cancelled as not in photo are the Theatrical Ethnic Ensemble Street Dance Competition and the Batawel Race.

Mayor Leslie Roy Nayahangan called for a final meeting today, April 10, 2026, to finalize the schedule of activities for the Kulpi ad Lagawe 2026.

Due to the energy crisis being experienced worldwide, the Kulpi celebration this year was unanimously scaled down to a three-day event (exclusive of the Kulpi Mass, Ecumenical Service and Kulpi Arm Wrestling Challenge) instead of the five days which was agreed upon earlier.

In attendance during the last stretch meeting were the barangay captains, office and division heads, and coordinators of various events. It was also announced that a barangay overall champion and two runners-up will be chosen basing on points accumulated from events participated in.

The following activities are still to be observed over the three-day Kulpi celebration:

Note that the Kulpi Mass will be held at 8:00 am on April 19 at St. Mary Magdalene Parish Church and the Ecumenical Service at 4:00 pm on April 21 at the Provincial Public Plaza. Tje Kulpi Arm Wrestling Challenge sponsored by a private entity will ve conducted on April 25 at the plaza.
