No vaccination card No Entry. Ay na wow. Kawawa mga farmers. Mabubulok Ang mga gulay. Kung sabihin namin na kung walang vaccine, no voting. Ano kaya sasabihin mo Dear Gov. DALIPOG. Isip-isip din pag may time. Wag lang sarili. Yung mga farmers at drivers , nagahanap Buhay Ang mga yan. May pamilyang binubuhay. Porket kayo, may trabaho, may sweldo kayo kahit Wala kayo sa kapitolyo. Ay na wow. Sana all na lang. Parang si Kiko na lang..SANA ALL.

Isip-isip din pag may time. Makita mo ngayong Mayo kung ano ginawa mo. Ibabalik nila yan sa iyo.

It is with great sadness to inform the public that the municipality of TINOC, IfUGAO is no longer COVID-19 free after it recorded two confirm positive case released last July 28, 2020. The patient are CAR 236 who is a police officer working in the Tinoc Municipal Police Station and has a travel history in Lagawe. And the other one is CAR 233 who is a stranded individual who came from Manila and a residence at Cocoy, Tukucan, Tinoc, Ifugao.

The Tinoc Municipal Health Office is urging everyone to submit themselves who ever the patient whom interacted or exposed for proper contract tracing and management.

Ifugao
During the 1890s, the Spanish authorities attempted to build military garrisons near Ifugao communities. Resisting control, the Ifugao people attacked the garrison in Julongan and destroyed the Spanish forces. Any other attempts by the Spanish to establish more control in Ifugao were met with fierce opposition. Eventually, the Spanish withdrew from Ifugao in 1897, having failed to conquer these mountains.

The Americans later noted the Spanish failure and the Ifugaos’ refusal to be conquered. Dean Worcester, an American anthropologist, wrote: “At Aua [Awa], further back in the hills, they [the Ifugaos] did the same thing [annihilated a Spanish garrison]. The Spaniards never established control over the Ifugao country, into extensive portions of which they never even temporarily penetrated.”

JULY 16, 1990…

Who can ever forget?

It was 4:26 in the afternoon (Daylight Saving Time) when an estimated magnitude 7.7 “Killer Temblor” struck Luzon. Baguio City was brought to its knees, cutoff from the rest of the country.

We lost loved ones and things we considered dear.

But we rose together.

Today, let us be one in praying for those who have moved on during that fateful day.

More than ever, let us be reminded that we are a resilient city, capable of overcoming whatever challenges come our way.

What we are currently undergoing right now is no different.

We survived 1990. We can and we will overcome the effects of the COVID-19 crisis as a united Baguio City.
