𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣, 𝙕𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙤𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙙𝙚𝙡 𝙎𝙪𝙧 - The 1st Field Artillery (Beat ’Em) Battalion (1FAB), Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, led by its Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Rojel P. Omictin ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, commemorates the 129th Philippine Army Anniversary on 19 March 2026.

The unit actively joined a simultaneous flag-raising ceremony at the Battalion Multi-Purpose Hall to honor the 129th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Army. The program served as a meaningful tribute to the gallant men and women of the Philippine Army, especially the fallen heroes who ultimately sacrificed their lives in the service of the nation.

The activity concluded with the reading of the Commanding General's message, Philippine Army, highlighting the Army’s enduring commitment to professionalism, patriotism, and excellence in safeguarding the country and its people.

𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣, 𝙕𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙤𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙙𝙚𝙡 𝙎𝙪𝙧 - The 1st Field Artillery (Beat ’Em) Battalion (1FAB), Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Rojel P. Omictin ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, successfully conducted the Joint Closing Ceremony of various trainings on March 13, 2026, at the Battalion Multipurpose Hall.

The ceremony marked the culmination of the Field Artillery Gunnery Proficiency Training (FAGPT) CL 02-2026, Disaster Rescue Operations (DRO) cross-trained with Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TC3) Training, and Forward Observer Certification Training. The activity was presided over by Lieutenant Colonel Jolly R. Flores Jr. (INF) PA, Assistant Commandant of the 1st Division Training School, 1st Infantry Division, PA, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

The said trainings were participated in by selected personnel from the 97th, 53rd, and 106th Infantry Battalions of the 1st Infantry Division, PA; the 1st Civil-Military Operations Battalion, CMOR, PA; and 1FAB, AR, PA. These training programs aimed to further enhance the participants’ operational competence and readiness in artillery fire support operations, battlefield casualty management, and target acquisition.

The activity highlighted the Philippine Army's commitment to continuously strengthening the capabilities and professionalism of its personnel in support of mission accomplishment.

In his message, LTC Flores emphasized that the knowledge, discipline, and teamwork gained from the training should serve as guiding principles for the participants as they perform their duties with dedication, competence, and unwavering commitment in serving the nation and the Filipino people.

𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣, 𝙕𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙤𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙙𝙚𝙡 𝙎𝙪𝙧 - The Field Artillery (Beat 'Em) Battalion (1FAB) of the Artillery Regiment (AR), Philippine Army (PA), under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Rojel P. Omictin ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, participated in the 1st Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill at Headquarters 1FAB, KMCLS, Pulacan, Labangan, ZDS on March 12, 2026.

The drill aimed to strengthen safety awareness, preparedness, and resilience against natural disasters. Participants actively practiced the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” protocol, highlighting the importance of readiness and quick response during seismic events. Activities like this serve as vital reminders for everyone to remain vigilant and prepared for the unpredictable forces of nature.
By promoting and reinforcing these safety protocols, the battalion further enhances its capability to respond effectively during earthquakes, ensuring the protection, safety, and well-being of its personnel and the surrounding community.

𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣, 𝙕𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙤𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙙𝙚𝙡 𝙎𝙪𝙧 -The Field Artillery (Beat 'Em) Battalion (1FAB), Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Rojel P. Omictin ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, successfully conducted its 13th Live Fire Exercise (LFX) featuring both day and night firing operations using two (2) 105mm Howitzers on 08–09 March 2026 at Brgy. Tigbanuang, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay Province.

The activity primarily served as a culminating training event for the students of the Field Artillery Gunnery Proficiency Training (FAGPT), enabling them to apply their theoretical knowledge and refine their practical skills in gunnery operations and fire mission ex*****on. Likewise, the students undergoing the Forward Observer Certification Training (FOCT) and eight (8) 2nd Lieutenants from different maneuver units also participated in the activity as Forward Observers (FO), allowing them to further develop and validate their proficiency in fire support coordination and target engagement procedures as part of their specialized training.

The event was also participated in by the 1st (ZDS) Ready Reserve Field Artillery Battery (1RRFAB), reinforcing the integration between active and reserve artillery forces. The activity was observed and evaluated by the Regiment Certification Committee (RCC) Team led by Lieutenant Colonel Ronald M. Basadre GSC (ART) PA, Chief, GSMO, AR, PA, ensuring compliance with established artillery training standards.

The 1FAB's successful ex*****on of the 13th LFX sent a clear message that cannons used were operational, extremely accurate, and capable of providing the necessary Field Artillery fires in support of the maneuver units under Joint Task Force ZAMPELAN (Zamboanga Peninsula) and Joint Task Force ORION.

𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻, 𝗭𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿- The 1st Field Artillery Battalion (1FAB), under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Rojel P. Omictin, ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, in partnership with the Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative (PAFCPIC) – Pagadian Branch, and RMN-DXPR Pagadian, successfully conducted a community outreach program on 07 March 2026 at Barangay Cayamcam, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

During the activity, the unit distributed sacks of rice, grocery items, slippers for children, and loot bags containing snacks, particularly benefiting the barangay's children and families. The initiative aimed to extend assistance to the local community and strengthen the bond between the military and the civilian populace.
Honorable Valentino Lacno, the Barangay Chairperson of Brgy. Cayamcam personally expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Philippine Army and its partners for the support and services rendered to their community.

In his message, LTC Omictin emphasized that the outreach activity aims to strengthen the relationship between the military and local communities by providing humanitarian assistance and basic services to those in need.

The activity concluded with smiles from the beneficiaries and a renewed sense of hope, marking another meaningful milestone in the continuing commitment of the Philippine Army and its partners to serve and uplift Filipino communities.

𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻, 𝗭𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿 –This unit, under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Rojel P. Omictin ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, 1FAB conducted Board Interview for the Restructured Reenlistment System Training (RRST) CL 01-2026 at the Battalion Headquarters on 02 March 2026.

A total of five (5) enlisted personnel from Headquarters and Line Batteries were scheduled to undergo the RRST. The Board thoroughly evaluated and validated each student’s documents, ensuring that all requirements were complete and compliant prior to their training. The board also conducted cross-examinations to assess the students' overall preparedness and suitability for the course.

The RRST is a mandatory refresher training program for enlisted personnel, typically conducted every six (6) years. It is designed to assess and enhance soldiers' physical, mental, and tactical proficiency, ensuring their continued effectiveness and readiness for military service.

This initiative highlighted the 1FAB’s steadfast commitment to maintaining a competent, disciplined, and mission-ready force in support of the Philippine Army’s mandate.
