Due to heavy rainfall this morning, the La Trinidad Police Station has reported a rockslide incident along the La Trinidad Arc in Km. 3 earlier today, June 5.

A team has already responded and cleared the road. However, the public is advised to exercise caution when travelling, as rainfall is expected to continue tomorrow.

The Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (DOST-PAGASA) has officially declared the start of the rainy season across the western parts of Luzon and Visayas, based on weather observations and analyses.

At 3:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area located northwest of Batanes has entered the PAR and developed into Tropical Depression "ESTER".

Benguet is expected to receive 50-100 mm of rainfall today (June 5) until tomorrow (June 6).

Unless significant changes occur, the next Weather Advisory will be issued at 11:00 AM today.

NEW RAGPTD MEMBERS TAKE OATH, MAYOR AWINGAN ASSUMES CHAIRMANSHIP. Mayor Roderick Awingan, along with representatives from community sectors, took their oath as incoming members of the Regional Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (RAGPTD) earlier today, June 4, at the municipal gymnasium.

Guest of Honor and Speaker, Presidential Assistant for CAR Asec. Antonio Tabora Jr. swore in the delegates and inspired the attendees on the importance of the task force.

In closing, outgoing chairperson Janet Palaez led the symbolic turnover of duties and responsibilities.

The activity was organized by the PNP Health Service-Regional Medical and Dental Unit under the leadership of Chief PCol. Lemuel Nalangan.
