PNP STATEMENT ON DISCIPLINE, INTEGRITY, AND ACCOUNTABILITY

The Philippine National Police reiterates its commitment to upholding the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and professionalism. All personnel are reminded that the uniform represents Service, Honor, and Justice, and it is a privilege that comes with great responsibility.

The organization maintains zero tolerance for abuse, misconduct, or any action that undermines public trust. Personnel who perform with dedication, honesty, and honor will be duly recognized and rewarded. Conversely, those who deviate from these standards will face swift and appropriate consequences under the law.

Unit commanders and heads of offices are reminded to exercise vigilant leadership. Supervise your personnel closely, provide guidance and mentorship, correct misconduct, and ensure that discipline and integrity are upheld in every unit. True leadership means recognizing excellence and addressing lapses without hesitation.

The PNP remains steadfast in its duty to serve the public, protect communities, and maintain the trust and confidence of the Filipino people through transparent, responsible, and principled action.

From Care to Command: Atty. Dexter Tonette Indasen

Women in the Philippine National Police (PNP) are not just stepping up—they’re reshaping leadership in law enforcement. Within IAS, the unit tasked with ensuring discipline and accountability in the police force, women are leading with integrity and purpose. One of them is Atty. Dexter Tonnette E. Indasen, whose journey reflects resilience, excellence, and a deep commitment to justice.

Atty. Indasen began her career in a vastly different field—as a nurse, motivated by a deep passion for helping people. But her passion for making a broader impact led her to law school. Embracing a new challenge, she brought the same compassion and dedication from her nursing days into the legal field. She quickly established herself as a capable and determined legal professional, eager to make a difference.

Atty. Indasen's journey did not stop at the practice of law. Her pursuit of challenge and excellence led her to the PNP Internal Affairs Service, where she now serves as the Chief, Regional Legal Affairs Division, RIAS CAR. In this capacity, she plays an important role in ensuring that police officers adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards. As a legal expert within the IAS, she assists in the investigation of administrative cases, upholds accountability, and the development of policies that strengthen the integrity of the PNP. Her work is instrumental in holding erring police personnel accountable while also safeguarding the rights of officers who perform their duties with integrity.

The presence of women like Atty. Indasen in IAS isn’t just about representation—it’s about transformation. Women bring empathy, meticulous attention to detail, and fairness to sensitive cases, especially those involving human rights and abuse of power. Their leadership helps foster a culture of accountability and restores public confidence in law enforcement.

Working in a traditionally male-dominated field hasn’t been easy. But women in IAS continue to lead with courage, competence, and integrity. They are proof that gender is no barrier to making an impact in law enforcement.

Atty. Indasen’s story is a powerful reminder: perseverance and purpose can break barriers. Her journey inspires not just men in uniform, but anyone striving to create meaningful change. Through her example, she shows that with passion and determination, true public service is within reach—and integrity will always lead the way.
