The sweet scent of strawberries once again filled all the lively corners of La Trinidad. As the town celebrated its annual Strawberry Festival, one young woman found herself standing on a beauty and brains podium. She is Carla Stephanie Bendaen Tilap, the newly crowned queen of Mr. and Ms. La Trinidad 2026 and a simple student who dreams of becoming a therapist.
Before the crown, Carla was a well-known athlete who was granted opportunities to represent her pride locally and internationally, eventually becoming a coach at the age of 17.
This achievement made her what she is today: a disciplined, patient, and responsible individual who applies these values not only to herself but also to the people surrounding her.
When Carla first stepped into Mr. and Ms. La Trinidad 2026, she was just another candidate with a big dream and a heart full of determination.
While most young students in the town slept peacefully through the cold nights, Carla and her supportive Uncle Argie were preparing tirelessly for the exciting yet challenging journey ahead. Her Uncle Argie not only served as a family member to Carla but also as a foundation of guidance and strength.
Behind the scenes, he remained a pillar, quietly shaping Carla into the person she is today—a pillar who sacrificed his time and effort just to witness his niece shine in the spotlight. His commitment played a vital role in her achievement, proving that behind every queen is a silent sacrifice. For Carla, her uncle represents one of the strongest chapters of her story.
As the competition progressed, Carla owned the ramp during the swimwear competition with unwavering confidence, radiating charm and elegance while immersing the audience in a beach-like atmosphere of beauty and poise. She continued to dominate the stage during the ethnic wear and casual interview segments, showcasing the beauty of traditional attire while answering her questions with courage and confidence. During the talent competition, she entered the stage carrying her pride, leaving the crowd in awe and securing her spot in the Top 3 for that category.
Then came the most-awaited segment of the pageant: the coronation night. Carla gave her absolute best, carrying with her all the hardships she had endured. As the evening wear segment began, the crowd went wild, especially for the community of Barangay Pico, which she represented. Carla, the tallest in her batch, was no longer just a student-athlete; she stood on that stage and executed her poise gracefully, walking and posing like a true queen.
When her name was announced as Ms. La Trinidad 2026, it was more than a title; it was a testament to her hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Carla didn’t just claim the crown; she achieved a near-total sweep of the awards, winning Best in Swimsuit, Best in Ethnic Attire, Best in Casual Interview, Best in Talent, Best in Evening Gown, and the sponsored title of Ms. Black Beauty.
None of this would have been possible without the support of her team, her community, and her family, who stood by her through every late-night practice and every moment of doubt.
Carla's story is not just about glitz and glamour; it is about passion, confidence, and the boldness to step into the spotlight. Her journey serves as a reminder that true queens are not merely crowned but are instead forged through dedication, passion, and resilience.
