𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲

As part of the Mental Health Day celebration, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) - Mental Health Unit conducted an Amazing Race featuring interactive challenges that promoted teamwork, critical thinking, communication, and mental wellness.

Selected participants from the Fun Run took part in the activity, navigating 10 stations designed to encourage collaboration, problem-solving, and awareness of mental health in a fun and engaging way.

The stations featured a variety of challenges, including Emotion Charades, Mindful or Mind Full?, Pass, Balance, & Answer, Chain Relay: Connect for a Better Mind, Crack the Code: Mind Matters, Navigate Your Mind, Rolling in the Deep, 4 Pics 1 Word: Think and Guess, Pass the Ball, and Pass the Message (Drawing).

The Benguet Provincial Health Office (PHO) invites health leaders, healthcare workers, partner agencies, and stakeholders to the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 (𝗨𝗛𝗖) 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟭-𝟮𝟯, 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗚𝘆𝗺𝗻𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺, 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹, 𝗟𝗮 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱, 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘁.

Anchored on the theme, “𝐀𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐇𝐂 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐦: 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬, 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬,” the three-day conference aims to recognize the province's progress in advancing Universal Health Care, strengthen collaboration among health stakeholders, and sustain initiatives toward accessible, equitable, and quality healthcare for every Kailyan.

𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐮𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲

Medical teams were deployed along the Fun Run Route on October 10, 2026, to ensure the safety and well-being of participants during the Mental Health Day celebration.

Standby medical responders were positioned from the Provincial Capitol Grounds, along Buyagan Road, up to the Benguet Sports Complex Oval in Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet, to provide immediate medical assistance when needed.

The medical coverage was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) - Benguet Chapter, La Triniadad Municipal Health Services Office (MHSO), La Trinidad Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Benguet Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), and the Benguet PHO Health Emergency Management Services (HEMS) team.

The Benguet PHO extends its appreciation to all participating medical teams and partner agencies for their prompt response, dedicated service, and commitment to keeping the runners and community safe throughout the activity.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝘂𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗥𝘂𝗻 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆

The Benguet Provincial Health Office (PHO) - Mental Health Unit spearheaded an Amazing Race in celebration of Mental Health Day on October 10, featuring a Fun Run and other activities promoting physical activity, camaraderie, and mental well-being.

In the Fun Run, June Mark Apa-an (No. 64) of King's College of the Philippines emerged as champion, completing the race in 8 minutes and 57 seconds. Raymerson Sinak-ey (No. 32) of Cordillera Career Development College placed first runner-up with a finishing time of 9 minutes and 43 seconds, while Eisenver Guisdan (No. 165) of Benguet State University secured second runner-up, finishing in 10 minutes and 6 seconds.

The Fun Run started at the registration area of the Provincial Capitol Grounds, with the finish line at the Benguet Sports Complex Oval in Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet. Following the race, participants took part in the Amazing Race, which featured different activity stations, and a Zumba session held at the sports complex.

The celebration highlighted the importance of physical activity, social connection, and community participation in supporting mental health and overall well-being.
