The Philippine Rural Development Project is a six-year (6) project designed to establish the government platform for a modern, climate-smart and market-oriented agri-fishery sector. The ceremonial events were led by DA Region 7 Executive Director Angel C. Enriquez, CESO III, and Bohol Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado. Both officials reflected on the project's journey from its modest beginnings to overcoming implementation challenges and recognized the significant impact of these initiatives on local communities.

In her message, Director Enriquez emphasized the importance of maintaining the facilities and continuing the enterprises' operations. She urged stakeholders to maximize the benefits of the projects, especially for local farmers.

The DA-PRDP-supported project, โ€œConstruction of the 75-meter Sicaba Bridge along the Rehabilitation of the Brgy. Caduha-an to Sitio Aluyan Farm-to-Market Road,โ€ was featured as a filming location for the Netflix series Itโ€™s Okay to Not Be Okay.

This bridge is situated in Brgy. Caduha-an, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, with a total project cost of โ‚ฑ36,937,955.27. It spans the Sicaba River upstream of the Bernardita Overflow.

The bridge forms part of the Brgy. Caduha-an to Sitio Aluyan farm-to-market road rehabilitation, which covers 1,670 hectares. Of this area, 1,146 hectares are devoted to agriculture, with around 63.6% or roughly 720 hectares planted with sugarcane.
