May 28, 2026 | 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙂𝙐𝙉𝙄𝘼𝙉𝙂 𝘽𝘼𝙔𝘼𝙉 held a Special Session upon the request of the Municipal Mayor regarding the declaration of the municipality of La Paz, Leyte under the State of Stable Internal Peace and Security Condition (SIPSC).

The 93rd Infantry Battalion, 8th Infantry Division, Philippine Army discussed and explained the importance of SIPSC and what it means for the municipality. It is a recognition that our municipality continues to maintain peace, order, and security through the cooperation of the LGU, barangay officials, law enforcement agencies, and the community.

This achievement shows that through teamwork and continuous support from everyone, La Paz continues to move forward peacefully and progressively.

April 29, 2026 | 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙜𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣 convened in a Special Session to deliberate and approve a resolution authorizing the Local Chief Executive to enter into and sign the Deed of Donation with the Office of the President under the Socio-Civic Projects Fund (SCPF).

This resolution enables the Local Government Unit to formally accept financial assistance under the “Bawat Barangay Makikinabang” Program, which provides support for educational assistance and priority barangay development projects. Each barangay is set to benefit from the program, reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusive and community-based development.

The Sangguniang Bayan expresses its full support for initiatives that strengthen grassroots development and ensure that assistance reaches every barangay effectively.

March 31, 2026 | 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙎𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙂𝙐𝙉𝙄𝘼𝙉𝙂 𝘽𝘼𝙔𝘼𝙉 conducted a committee hearing to discuss the proposed Supplemental Investment Program (SIP) for the current year.

The SIP is an updated plan that outlines additional priority projects and activities that were not included in the original Annual Investment Program. These may cover urgent needs, new initiatives, or adjustments based on current situations, ensuring that available funds are used where they are most needed.

The members carefully reviewed the proposed items, discussed their relevance, and ensured that each proposal aligns with the municipality’s development goals and existing policies. March 30, 2026 | 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙎𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙂𝙐𝙉𝙄𝘼𝙉𝙂 𝘽𝘼𝙔𝘼𝙉 held its Fifth Regular Session for the month of March.

During the session, the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2026 was officially approved, amounting to ₱165,040,803. The approval of the budget sets the direction for the municipality’s programs, projects, and services for this year, ensuring their continuous implementation.

This development reflects the continued effort of the Sangguniang Bayan, together with the Local Government, to provide responsive and effective governance.

March 16, 2026 | Third Regular Session for the month of March 2026

February 16, 2026 | 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙜𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣 convened its Third Regular Session for the month of February.

During the course of the session, the Honorable Members carefully deliberated on proposed resolutions, and other matters of public concern aimed at strengthening local governance and promoting the general welfare of the La Paznon.

The Sangguniang Bayan was also honored to welcome the work immersion student from Buracan National High School, Atty. Roque A. Marcos Memorial School, and Sta. Ana National High School La Paz Leyte, who attended the session as part of their academic exposure to actual government proceedings. Their presence provided them with an opportunity to witness firsthand how legislative discussions are conducted and how local policies are crafted and approved.

January 26, 2026 | 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙎𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙂𝙐𝙉𝙄𝘼𝙉𝙂 𝘽𝘼𝙔𝘼𝙉 formally welcomes the Grade 12 students of Santa Ana National High School and Atty. Roque A. Marcos Memorial School who are undertaking their Work Immersion Program with this legislative body.

The Sangguniang Bayan is pleased to serve as a learning venue for the students, providing them with practical exposure to the functions, processes, and responsibilities of local governance and public service.
