INDEPENDENCE DAY MESSAGE OF MAYOR JOSE LUIS D. JALANDONI
A warm and patriotic greeting to all Mangkasanons as we commemorate the 128th Philippine Independence Day!
Today, we stand united with the entire Filipino nation in honoring the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering love of country demonstrated by our heroes who fought for the freedom we enjoy today. Guided by this year's theme, "Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan." (Freedom. Future. History.), we reflect on the enduring value of independence and our shared responsibility to preserve it for future generations.
Our history teaches us that freedom is not merely a legacy handed down by our forebearsโit is a continuing responsibility. It calls upon us to build communities where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive, where every child can dream of a brighter future, and where every family can live with dignity, security, and hope.
Here in La Carlota City, the spirit of freedom lives on through the determination and resilience of our people. It is reflected in the hard work of our farmers, the dedication of our teachers, the commitment of our public servants, the strength of our workers, and the unity of every Mangkasanon striving to make our city a better place for all.
