Recent events remind us of the importance of creating a school community where concerns are noticed, taken seriously, and addressed early.

If you see or hear something that makes you concerned, whether it involves a threat, a weapon, alarming messages, or a classmate who may be struggling, 𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙙𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚.

Tell a trusted adult. Talk to your teacher, adviser, parent or guardian, Guidance Counselor, or any school personnel you trust.

𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 “𝘀𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵.” 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

At the same time, let us be mindful not to spread rumors, identify or label people, or share unverified information. 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱.

Our goal is simple:

Let us continue building a school community where everyone feels safe enough to ask for help and where concerns are addressed before they become crises.
