EMPATHY, EMOTIONAL STABILITY — BJMP R12 FOCUS IN FLAG CEREMONY

September 7, 2026 — BJMP Region XII, under the leadership of Regional Director Jail Chief Superintendent ERWIN KENNY P RONQUILLO, MM, MPSA, held its regular Monday flag-raising ceremony, where personnel were reminded to anchor their service on empathy and emotional stability.

Delivering the message, Jail Officer 2 Heza Louise Lara emphasized that the circumstances shaping people’s choices are often beyond their control, urging every personnel to seek understanding before passing judgment. She highlighted that nurturing one’s own mental well-being is essential to delivering compassionate, professional service, both toward Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) and among colleagues.

The Assistant Regional Director for Operations, JSUPT METZ MILTON T PLACENCIA also affirmed the enduring value of the weekly flag-raising rite, noting its vital role in unifying the workforce and reaffirming the Bureau’s core values of service, integrity, and humanity.

Regional Director JCSUPT ERWIN KENNY P RONQUILLO was represented by Assistant Regional Director for Administration JSSUPT ISRAEL R ARBOLEDA, at the 32nd National Crime Prevention Week (NCPW) Culmination Ceremony held on September 7, 2026, at the South Cotabato Police Provincial Office, Barangay Morales, City of Koronadal.

Spearheaded by NAPOLCOM XII in partnership with SCPPO, the activity highlighted the theme “Strengthening Civilian Oversight and Collective Action for Safer Communities.”

During the ceremony, BJMP XII was also conferred a Certificate of Commendation by NAPOLCOM XII in recognition of its support and valuable partnership in the observance of National Crime Prevention Week.

BJMP XII’s participation and recognition underscore its commitment to inter-agency cooperation, collective action, and the promotion of public safety and safer communities.

The BJMP XII Regional Director, JCSUPT ERWIN KENNY P RONQUILLO, MM, MPSA, together with JO1 Jerson C Cainglet, STAR Team Member, represented the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Region XII during the 2nd ASEC RFJ Cup - 11 Stages Level II PPSA-Sanctioned Match held on September 5–6, 2026 at the NEPSA Firing Range, Brgy. Kalikid Sur, Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija.

Beyond precision and speed, the competition highlights the importance of discipline, focus, sportsmanship, and operational readiness—qualities that define every dedicated BJMP personnel.

Sa pinakahuling Haze Watch monitoring, patuloy na pabago-bago ang PM2.5 levels sa Koronadal CAAMS-PMS Station.

Noong September 3, umabot sa 69 µg/m³ ang PM2.5 bandang 4:00 PM, nasa “ACUTELY UNHEALTHY” category. Nitong September 4, 6:00 AM, naitala naman ang 53 µg/m³, o “VERY UNHEALTHY.”

Maaaring maapektuhan ang kalusugan, kaya mas mabuting limitahan ang outdoor activities, lalo na para sa mga sensitibong indibidwal.

Manatiling updated sa pinakabagong monitoring results ng EMB XII at sundin ang health precautions para sa kaligtasan ng lahat.

𝟏𝟔 𝐏𝐃𝐋 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄 𝐊𝐊𝐃𝐊 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌 𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐃𝐉

Isulan, Sultan Kudarat | September 2, 2026 — A total of sixteen (16) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) successfully completed the Katatagan, Kalusugan at Damayan sa Komunidad (KKDK) Program during a graduation ceremony held at the Isulan District Jail attended by JSUPT METZ MILTON T PLACENCIA and JINSP ULYSSES M CASPILLO.

The activity recognized the graduates’ commitment, participation, and progress throughout the program, while highlighting the continued support of jail personnel and program facilitators through guidance, counseling, and rehabilitation interventions.

The graduates were encouraged to carry with them the values, knowledge, coping skills, and positive behavioral changes gained from the program as they move forward toward meaningful rehabilitation and eventual reintegration into their families and communities.

An estimated Magnitude 6.0 earthquake was felt within Region XII at approximately 9:22 PM today.

Immediately following the seismic event, all fifteen (15) BJMP XII jail units in the region remain secure and stable, no damage to jail facilities, electronic security systems, or other infrastructure has been reported, and no untoward incidents, injuries, or casualties involving Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) or BJMP personnel have been reported

The BJMP Regional Office XII assures the public that the safety, security, and welfare of PDL and personnel remain a top priority.

We encourage everyone to remain calm, stay alert, and follow official advisories from concerned authorities.

RPOC 12 APPROVES RESOLUTION COMMENDING FORMER RD PERALTA, OIC RD ARRO

KORONADAL CITY — The Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC), Region XII’s highest policy body for peace, order, and public safety, held its 3rd Quarter Meeting at The Farm at Koronadal. BJMP Region XII was represented by JSUPT METZ MILTON T PLACENCIA and JCINSP NEREMIAS R DE QUIA.

The Council coordinates regional security efforts among DILG, BJMP, PNP, AFP, and other agencies. A key highlight was the approval of a DILG resolution commending former Regional Director JCSUPT ARNEL U PERALTA, DSC (Ret) and former OIC JSSUPT JULIUS L ARRO (Ret) for their invaluable contributions to peace, order, and public safety in Region XII.

The meeting also reviewed the region’s security situation and agreed on unified action points to sustain a safe and peaceful community.

BJMP R12 Leadership Pays Courtesy Visit to Koronadal City Government

KORONADAL CITY — Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Region XII Regional Director JCSUPT ERWIN KENNY P RONQUILLO, together with the Regional Command Group, paid a formal courtesy visit to the Local Government Unit of Koronadal City to strengthen ties and foster closer inter-agency cooperation. The visit took place on September 1, 2026. The delegation was warmly received by Mayor Erlinda P. Araquil.

The Command Group also made separate courtesy calls at the Office of the Vice Mayor and met with city councilors to further strengthen coordination.

RD RONQUILLO introduced the command team and reaffirmed BJMP’s commitment to upholding the rule of law, humane safekeeping of PDL, and supporting the city’s peace and security initiatives.

Both sides discussed key areas for collaboration—including infrastructure support, capacity-building, and community programs aligned with the city’s development agenda and BJMP’s service thrusts. Mayor Araquil expressed full support for the bureau’s programs and acknowledged BJMP’s vital role in maintaining public safety and decongesting jail facilities across the region.
