DTI Region 12 Welcome to the official page of DTI Region 12! “Developing Business, Protecting Consumers"

MANDATE (Per EO #133, 27 Feb. 1987)

“The primary coordinative, promotive, facilitative and regulatory arm of the government for the country’s trade, industry and investment activities”

Further mandated to:

“Act as a catalyst for intensified private sector activity in order to accelerate and sustain economic growth through:

1) A comprehensive industrial growth strategy;

2) A progressive and socially responsive liberalization and deregulation program, and diversification of trade, both domestic and foreign”

Functions:

1) Implement pertinent laws, rules and regulations, plans, programs, and projects of DTI;

2) Provide efficient and effective service to the people;

3) Coordinate with the regional offices of other departments, offices, and agencies in the region;

4) Coordinate with Local Government Units;

5) Perform other functions as may be provided by law or assigned by the Secretary.

But does that mean they’re equally safe?

Safety isn’t something you can judge by appearance alone.

Before you plug in, check for the required PS Mark or ICC Sticker on covered electrical products. DTI-BPS requires products under mandatory certification to meet applicable standards before they can be distributed in the market.

Under RA 7394 or the Consumer Act, consumers are protected against hazards to health and safety.

Don’t just look alike. Check the mark. Check before you connect!

ICC Sticker – Indicates that a covered imported product has undergone the required certification process under the ICC Scheme.

LOOK | The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Sarangani, in collaboration with the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG) Sarangani, celebrated International Coffee Day 2026 on October 1 at the Provincial Capitol Lobby in Alabel, Sarangani Province.

The celebration featured a coffee-tasting and brewing activity led by members of the Gensan Coffee Association, highlighting locally produced coffee from Alabel, Glan, and Malungon.

The activity also recognized the contributions of coffee farmers, processors, producers, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders in strengthening Sarangani’s coffee industry.

DTI Sarangani, OPAG, municipal agriculture offices, coffee associations, farmers, and industry partners continue to work together toward a stronger, competitive, and sustainable coffee industry in the province.
