ONE FOR THE FUTURE: MAGKUNO TROOPERS’ ENGAGEMENT WITH TUBOD COLLEGE YOUTH

Tubod, Lanao Del Norte - The 53rd Mechanized Infantry "Magkuno" Company under the leadership CPT JOHN JEG L ESCANDOR (ARM) PA, Commanding Officer, recently conducted an Information and Education Campaign (IEC) to the students of Tubod College, focusing on national sovereignty and micro security on 21 April, 2026.

2LT BRIX STEVEN O PABRO (ARM) PA, Platoon Leader of this unit, led the discussion on AFP’s COMMUNICATION PLAN “COMPLAN MULAT”. He provided vital insights about the situation in the West Philippine Sea, emphasizing our nation's maritime rights and the importance of collective awareness in defending our territory. PFC John Michael J Cabahug (Arm) took the floor to discuss Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE). The discussion focused on raising awareness against radicalization, empowering students to become catalysts for peace and partners in our campaign against extremist influences in the communities.
