3 Suspects Nabbed; Over P134K Worth of Drugs, Loose Firearm Seized in Caraga
Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City ---- Caraga police arrested three suspects and seized a total of P134,760.00 worth of suspected shabu and ma*****na, along with a loose firearm, during a series of buy-bust operations conducted on Tuesday, October 7 in Caraga Region.
In Butuan City, joint operatives of Butuan City Police Station 4 Drug Enforcement Unit and the Agusan del Norte Maritime Police Station arrested alias “Loloy”, 34 years old, in Barangay Cabcabon.
Confiscated from the suspect were 15 grams of suspected shabu valued at P102,000, a paper bag containing suspected ma*****na with an estimated weight of 1 gram worth P120, a Caliber .22 revolver with live ammunition, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, in Barangay 3 Poblacion, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte, police arrested alias “Lito”, 22 years old, after he sold suspected shabu to a poseur buyer. Seized from him were 3.8 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P25,840.
In a separate operation in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur, operatives also arrested alias “Ric”, 34, in Barangay 3. He yielded 1 gram of suspected shabu valued at P6,800, along with assorted drug paraphernalia.
All arrested suspects are now under police custody and will face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
An additional charge for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Fi****ms and Ammunition Regulation Act, has also been prepared against alias “Loloy” for possession of a loose firearm.
“We are firm in our commitment to eradicate illegal drugs and other forms of criminality through sustained intelligence-driven police operations and community partnership,” PBGEN Marcial Mariano P. Magistrado IV, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 13 said.
