On March 24, 2026, the Provincial Agriculture Office of Bukidnon conducted an orientation for 35 Provincial Agriculture Volunteers (PAVs) at the LGU-Kitaotao. In collaboration with the Municipal Agriculture Office, the activity brought together all PAVs to discuss their roles and responsibilities for the year 2026.

During the orientation, participants were trained on how to properly gather and report data related to planting and harvesting activities across various agricultural commodities, including fruit trees. This initiative aims to strengthen data collection efforts and improve agricultural monitoring in the province.

Moving forward, the program is expected to generate real-time data on crops, harvest outputs, and the number of farmers in Bukidnon, supporting more informed planning and decision-making in the agricultural sector.

The Municipal Agriculture Office of Kitaotao participated the Nationwide Simultaneous Rabies Vaccination Drive in line with the launching of " A Rabies-Free Future Starts With Me" campaign by the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) at Brgy Lorega, Kitaotao, Bukidnon

This initiative aims to intensify rabies prevention and control efforts, increase vaccination coverage among dogs and cats, and reinforce the collective commitment to achieve a rabies-free Philippines, a support to WOAH's "Zero by 30" global program.

The Municipal Agriculture Office of Kitaotao successfully conducted the Rural Improvement Club (RIC) Achievement Day last February 27, 2026 at Barangay Kitubo, Kitaotao, Bukidnon.

The activity was actively participated in by eight (8) barangays, showcasing unity, talent, and empowerment among our RIC members. One of the highlights of the celebration was the lively Zumba Dance Contest, followed by the much-anticipated main event — the Search for Ginang RIC.

Congratulations to Barangay Pagan for emerging as Champion in both the Zumba Dance Contest and the Search for Ginang RIC! Your dedication, teamwork, and confidence truly stood out.

This meaningful event reflects the continued commitment of the Municipal Agriculture Office in strengthening women’s participation, leadership, and community involvement across the municipality.

Graduation Ceremony | Farmers Field School (FFS) on Corn Production🎓

Last February 24, 2026, the Municipal Agriculture Office of Kitaotao proudly celebrated the Graduation Ceremony of the Farmers Field School (FFS) on Corn Production held at Barangay Gutalid, Kitaotao, Bukidnon.

The FFS is a 16-week season-long training that started on August 8, 2025 and concluded on February 24, 2026, with dedicated 35 farmer-participants who actively engaged in hands-on learning and field-based activities facilitated by our Agricultural Technologist.

This activity strengthened farmers’ knowledge and skills in improved corn production technologies, empowering them to increase productivity, enhance farm management practices, and contribute to the municipality’s agricultural development.

Congratulations to all our FFS graduates! Your hard work and commitment to learning are truly commendable. 🌾👏

LGU Kitaotao’s Municipal Agriculture Office Empowers Youth Through 10-Day AFA Student Immersion

In a bid to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, the Municipal Agriculture Office of Kitaotao, Bukidnon, successfully hosted a 10-day immersion program for the Grade 12 TVL-AFA students of Kitubo National High School from February 2 to 13, 2026.

The comprehensive program was designed to provide students with a holistic view of the municipality's agricultural and veterinary operations. Under the supervision of MAO personnel, the students engaged in high-impact activities including the production of organic fertilizers, large animal deworming, and a municipality-wide anti-rabies vaccination campaign for dogs and cats.

Further expanding their technical expertise, the students gained critical insights into food safety protocols during a guided tour of the local slaughterhouse. They also participated in the post-harvest process by hauling coffee beans, directly contributing to the local supply chain, and honed their skills in sustainable gardening practices.

The Local Government of Kitaotao, through the Municipal Agriculture Office, commends Kitubo National High School for this commendable partnership and congratulates the students for their active participation. We look forward to seeing these young individuals become catalysts for growth and innovation in the agricultural sector
