The Lankur Agrarian Reform Cooperative received a total of 320 sacks of fertilizer during a turnover ceremony held in Barangay Lanao Kuran, Arakan, North Cotabato, benefiting its farmer-members and strengthening agricultural productivity in the community. The assistance forms part of the continuing efforts of government agencies to support ARBs, ARBO through the provision of farm inputs aimed at increasing crop yield and improving farmers' livelihoods.

The turnover activity was attended by key officials from national and local government agencies, including Municipal Agriculturist Officer James Dulay of the Municipal Agriculture Office of Arakan, Emelita Mayol, CARPO for Program Beneficiaries Development Division (PBDD), and MARPO Dinah Nallos of DARMO Arakan. Their presence underscored the government's commitment to advancing agricultural development and empowering ARBs, ARBO and ARC.

Also present during the ceremony were Leonardo Reovoca, Municipal Cooperative Development Officer of Arakan; Mr. Jolito Flores of the High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP) of the Department of Agriculture Regional Office XII; Nazrodin Inogog of the Department of Agriculture XII–Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (APCO); former Sangguniang Bayan Members Delfin Moreno and Joselito Cases; and Barangay Captain Cresenciano Campus of Lanao Kuran. The officials emphasized the importance of collaboration among stakeholders in delivering essential agricultural interventions to farmer organizations.

Members of the cooperative expressed their gratitude for the support, recognizing the fertilizer assistance as a valuable resource that will help improve farm productivity and reduce production costs. The turnover of the 320 sacks of fertilizer reflects the collective efforts of the Department of Agrarian Reform, the Department of Agriculture, the Local Government Unit of Arakan, and other development partners in promoting sustainable agriculture, food security, and inclusive rural development for ARBs, ARBO and ARC in North Cotabato.

CONDUCT OF FIELD VISIT TO RPMO XII AND PPMO NORTH COTABATO IN PREPARATION FOR IFAD PROCUREMENT REVIEW UNDER VISTA PROJECT

In preparation for the upcoming International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Procurement Review under the VISTA Project, a field visit was conducted at the Regional Project Management Office (RPMO) XII and the Provincial Project Management Office (PPMO) North Cotabato, led by key officials from the DAR Central Office.
The activity was headed by Ms. Josefina D. Esguerra, Senior Procurement Officer; Mr. Aldrin V. Lara, Project Operations Support Associate; and Ms. Dulcie Rivera, FASPO.

The field visit aimed to assess and ensure the readiness of project procurement systems and processes at the regional and provincial levels in line with IFAD’s standards and guidelines. Discussions and reviews focused on the documentation, compliance, and implementation processes under the VISTA Project to strengthen transparency, accountability, and efficiency in procurement management.

Personnel from DAR Region XII and North Cotabato actively participated in the review sessions, sharing insights and updates on ongoing procurement activities. The engagement facilitated knowledge exchange between central, regional, and provincial offices to enhance consistency in project implementation and alignment with IFAD requirements.

They emphasized the importance of maintaining strong adherence to procurement policies and the continuing collaboration among all levels of DAR to ensure successful project delivery. The visit underscored DAR’s commitment to uphold good governance practices and optimize project impacts for agrarian reform beneficiaries under the VISTA Project.
