NEWS | 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲

In light of the recent shooting incident in Tacloban City that raised concerns over campus safety nationwide, Amas National High School (ANHS) has strengthened its security measures by increasing police visibility within and around the school premises beginning Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

The initiative is being carried out in close coordination with local law enforcement authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of learners, teaching personnel, and non-teaching staff.

Police officers have been deployed at strategic areas of the campus, including the main entrance and surrounding vicinities, to conduct regular monitoring and provide immediate response should any security concern arise.

School officials emphasized that the heightened security presence is a proactive measure aimed at maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment.

They assured parents and the community that there is currently no direct threat to the school, but preventive actions are necessary to reinforce safety protocols and promote peace of mind among stakeholders.

"We want our learners to feel safe and secure while pursuing their education. The increased police visibility serves not only as a deterrent to potential threats but also as an assurance that the school is taking every possible step to protect its community," school head, Eric D. Pasana said.

ANHS continues to remind students to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, and strictly observe school safety policies.

The school administration also reiterated its commitment to collaborating with local authorities and stakeholders in sustaining a culture of safety, preparedness, and resilience within the campus.

As educational institutions across the country reassess their security measures, Amas National High School stands firm in its mission to provide not only quality education but also a safe and nurturing environment where every learner can thrive.
