๐—œ๐—ก ๐—ฃ๐—›๐—ข๐—ง๐—ข๐—ฆ | The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) โ€“ Cotabato Provincial Statistical Office successfully conducted its third-level training for statistical researchers on May 7โ€“8, 2026, at the PSA Cotabato Office. The training was facilitated by the designated focal person, Mr. Ronald B. Amban, Statistical Analyst. The training aimed to equip Statistical Researchers with the essential knowledge and standardized protocols required for the conduct of the May 2026 Labor Force Survey (LFS).

The May 2026 LFS, implemented nationwide by the PSA, will be carried out from May 8 to May 28, 2026. This survey gathers vital information on the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population. It provides a quantitative framework for the preparation of plans and formulation of policies affecting the labor market, which is a crucial indicator of a countryโ€™s employment situation, providing insights into unemployment rates, labor participation, and employment trends.

In line with the Philippines' goal to achieve gender equality and equity to its programs and projects, the Philippine Statistics Authority issues a Factsheet on Women and Men in the Philippines, which includes the updated Philippine Core Gender and Development (GAD) Indicators and other latest statistics on women and men in the country.

The factsheet compiles data from key sources:

โœ…2024 Survey on Overseas Filipinos
โœ…2023 Family Income and Expenditure Survey
โœ…2025 National Demographic and Health Survey.

Further, it integrates administrative data such as election results from the Commission on Elections and reports from institutions like the Career Executive Service Board and the Supreme Court.

TINGNAN | Average Farmgate at Retail Prices ng Baboy (January to March 2026)

Naitala ang 16.1% na taunang pagbaba sa average farmgate price ng baboy, at 3.7% na pagbaba kumpara sa nakaraang kwarter. Sa unang kwarter ng 2026, nasa 176.03 peso per kilo na lamang ito mula sa 209.83 peso per kilo noong unang kwarter ng 2025.

Samantala, bumaba rin ang average retail price ng pork kasim:

๐Ÿ”ป2.2% na pagbaba kumpara sa nakaraang kwarter

May average naman na 338.27 peso per kilo sa unang kwarter ng 2026 mula sa 350.75 peso per kilo noong unang kwarter ng 2025.
