Metro Kidapawan Water District Through Republic Act 1316, the construction of waterworks system in Kidapawan and Makilala under the defunct NAWASA.

Its construction started in 1956 and it’s operation in 1958 and later named as METRO KIDAPAWAN WATER DISTRICT.

The Metro Kidapawan Water District (MKWD) urges all concessionaires to proactively secure their water meters against tampering and theft.

Buying, selling, or possessing stolen water meters is a serious felony under P.D. 1612 (The Anti-Fencing Law). Junk shops, scrap dealers, and individuals caught trading stolen utility property face severe criminal prosecution, including the penalty of Arresto Mayor.
