Public participation remains an essential part of good governance.

A public hearing was conducted to gather insights from stakeholders and inform the community about the proposed ordinances on the additional courses to be offered by KSTIAC and the Refresher Course on Slaughtering Operations NC II.

The activity was attended by barangay officials, department heads, members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, and representatives from various government agencies, whose valuable insights and recommendations contributed to the discussion.

Through this collaborative dialogue, the proposed ordinances were further refined to ensure they are more responsive, practical, and beneficial to the needs of the community.

The joint committee of the Education, Culture and Arts and Livelihood and Cooperatives successfully convened on July 8, 2026. The body evaluated two resolutions to advance local technical and vocational education, laying the groundwork for an upcoming public hearing.

The committee reviewed and approved the following:
1. Resolution No. 001, Series of 2026: Authorizes the opening of new training and assessment centers at the Kidapawan Skills Training Institute & Assessment Center (KSTIAC). The measure ensures TESDA-compliant facilities and outlines the corresponding school and assessment fees.

2. Resolution No. 003, Series of 2026: Establishes refresher guidelines for Slaughtering Operations (Swine) NCII, along with the corresponding refresher fees.

The meeting gathered the committee members including KSTIAC Administrator Ludivina Mayormita, Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Head Herminia Infanta, and City Legal Officer Atty. Mabelle Acosta.

With the resolutions conceptually approved, the committee is currently finalizing the Ordinance for an upcoming public hearing, which will be formally announced to the public to ensure community participation and final endorsement.

Last July 9, 2026, The Committee on Housing and Land Utilization convened for a meeting to tackle the Development Permit application of Aquaverde located at Purok 6D-Tambis, Barangay Lanao, Kidapawan City.

The applicant's requirements are duly scrutinized. The committee together with the invited guests from the office of the City Planning and City Engineer brought up the lacking requirements to the applicants.

Once the lacking requirements are already completed, the Development permit will be given.
