We are proud to share that the Municipality of Kiamba ranked 10th, generating ₱56.9 million in locally sourced income. This achievement highlights the municipality’s steady economic growth and the commitment of its taxpayers in fulfilling their civic responsibilities.

🔵 Bureau of Local Government Finance has released the latest Statement of Receipts and Expenditures that shows the Locally Sourced Income of Local Government Units in the year 2025, revealing which cities and municipalities in Region generate the most income from their own local sources.

Locally Sourced Income (LSI) refers to revenue earned by LGUs through business taxes, permits, service fees, and local economic activities, excluding national government support such as the National Tax Allotment. In simple terms, higher LSI often means stronger business activity, a larger local economy, and better financial self-reliance.

leads SOCCSKSARGEN by a wide margin with Php 1.327 billion in LSI, making it the region’s top local income generator and the only city to surpass the billion-peso mark. This reflects GenSan's strong commercial base, industrial activity, and economic influence in .

follows with Php 435.7 million, while records Php 407.8 million. rounds out the top cities with Php 235 million.

Among municipalities, ranks highest with Php 351.4 million, showing how agriculture and industrial investments can significantly boost local revenue even outside major urban centers.

Meanwhile, municipalities such as Lutayan, Palimbang, and Sen. Ninoy Aquino posted the lowest LSI figures, indicating smaller local economies and suggesting heavier dependence on external government funding.

While LSI does not directly measure the wealth of residents, it serves as a strong indicator of how economically active an area is and how capable it is of funding local services through its own income. Simply put, bigger LSI often signals stronger local economic power.

Among the esteemed guests were Mr. Dario Pedong, National Fisherfolk Director; Mr. Loreto Baay, Regional Fisherfolk Director for Region XII; Mr. Enrico Paquis, Focal Person of the Mangingisdang Direktor Program from the BFAR Central Office; Ms. Gemma Chyrel Moreno, Officer-in-Charge of the BFAR Region XII – Regional Fisherfolks Training and Fisherfolks Coordination Division; Mr. Rey Caballero, Officer-in-Charge of the Fisherfolk Coordination Unit under the same division; Mr. Johnrile Gino, and Ms. Cherry Mae Arang, both staff members of BFAR Region XII – Regional Fisherfolks Training and Fisherfolks Coordination Division.

The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration and foster meaningful partnerships between the LGU and its valued partners from various national agencies, reinforcing a shared commitment to community development, sustainable fisheries, and public service.

During this morning’s Flag Raising Ceremony, the Local Government Unit of Kiamba proudly recognized the outstanding achievements of the Blue Eagles Softball Team.

The recognition was led by Honorable Mayor George Jong-Jong Falgui, together with Honorable Municipal Councilors Josephine Dalman, Noel Alicarte, and Roger Fado, alongside Municipal Administrator Designate Alfredo Balanag and dedicated LGU employees.

The Kiamba Blue Eagles Softball Team emerged as champions in the recently concluded 2nd PONY League Mindanao Baseball and Softball Tournament 2026, held in Medina, Misamis Oriental from May 3–8, 2026.

With this remarkable victory, the team has earned the honor of representing the Philippines in the prestigious PONY World Series, set to take place in McAllen, Texas, USA this July 2026.

Their triumph is a testament to their unwavering hard work, discipline, perseverance, and dedication—bringing immense pride not only to the Municipality of Kiamba but to the entire nation.
